QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

Man, Shoes had that comment loaded from 3 years ago? :lol That dedication. :lol

2012, matt ryan had a very strong case for being a "top 6 QB". top 5 in yards, touchdowns, quarterback rating, 3rd in QBR (espn's rating), and led the league in 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives

Was looking back to see who said that Hines Ward=1st ballot comment and just saw some ridiculous quotes from a couple years back...

You said Matt Schaub was the most underrated QB in the league.

Just goes to show you how much you dudes live in the moment on here. Now it's Luck's turn to get anointed.

I cant remember seeing a QB peak and then come crashing down in such a short span like Schaub :lol

I lost confidence in him as a player basically over-night it seemed

His arm died overnight.

Those texans offenses when he first arrived were bombing folks

i think i remember arguing maybe about 2 years ago that schaub had claim for somewhere between 8-12 as far as QBs go. his numbers from 09-12 were probably better than a lot of people remember. sometime late in that 2012 season is where the wheels just fell off for him though

No one can ignore Matt Ryan's playoff impotency. You can't have the nickname "Ice" and not be clutch in the postseason. 1-4 record. 9 TD to 7 INT with a vast array of offensive weapons. Any other QB would be crucified for that performance against the Giants in 2011.

Yeah, but 3 years ago I was right. Schaub was really good, then. And underrated. Then he died. Hence, I don't say anything nice about him anymore.

So not sure how that's a bad example on my part.

Schaub was never underrated. He was always who he was. Average QB.

Eh arguing semantics. He had a 3 year stretch where he was above average imo. The Texans offense was top 10. Led the league in yards one year and was in the top 6-8 the other 2 years.

Matt schaub is in the matt hasselbac c, jake delhomme category......a few productive years but nothing special at all....

Throwing my hat in for Tanny to take the next step. A playoff appearance would not surprise me.

I really love Russell Wilson's persona

When I heard him talk, I want to run through a brick wall. He's that effin charismatic to me
