Some of the biggest wins Andrew Luck has in his career involve him going into "game manager" mode.

Other than the San Francisco game last year, which ones are you talking about?

No one can ignore Matt Ryan's playoff impotency. You can't have the nickname "Ice" and not be clutch in the postseason. 1-4 record. 9 TD to 7 INT with a vast array of offensive weapons. Any other QB would be crucified for that performance against the Giants in 2011.

the **** you talking about?
The only reason anyone believes this is because of the amount of what is asked of each player. This is the exact same thing that I bring up when people talk about your favorite QB Alex Smith (and before you get your panties in a bunch, I am not comparing Wilson and Alex. Wilson is substantially better than Alex. Not even close).
But where the comparisons are valid is what is asked of each QB. Both QBs are basically asked to not screw things up. Neither of which has to worry about making plays more than they have to worry about not screwing things up. Both the Seahawks and the 49ers/Chiefs had ridiculously good defenses and neither QB was needed to go out and win games for their team. They also had very reliable running games that said QBs could lean on. Manage the game and dont make any critical errors is their main goal. The more that is asked of a QB, the more room for error there is. And I think Russell is asked to do far less than Luck....simply because he has an all world defense and top running game to lean on.
Andrew Luck does not have that luxury. If he went into game manager mode, more times than not, the Colts would lose.
What classifies a good team? Playoff team? Is 225 yards is the 'cutoff' for a game manager? Does that take touchdowns into account?
Giants smashed Atlanta that game. They also played a great game against GB that postseason. After the beating Eli took from SF and finished the game, I can't say anything negative about him.
The worst QB in the NFC EAST is the only one to have a ring. That's odd....
But I'm just a stat watcher that hasn't seen Russell Wilson make ridiculous throws at times and carry a team with his arm when needed and Andrew Luck is just chucking it all over the field and carrying his team with his arm even moreso than Drew Brees.
Please point out these "plays" that Wilson made to win the Superbowl. He didnt start making plays until the Seahawks were up 4+ touchdowns.I don't think Luck makes the plays Wilson does to win the NFL title game

I knew someone was gonna come with the Trent stat. Eli also has two rings and both times, our defense was nowhere near that 2000 Ravens defense.
