Any know if you can do anything to the exterior of the car in this time around? I know in the past it was limited to changing the wheels, but not even the size

The lighting (among other things) looks amazing. And before skeptics rip the graphics, its a cam-on-TV video...

everyone here copping a steering wheel controller? which one is the best for this game?
imo the logitech g27 is the best racing wheel for this game, it has clutch and everything but its a lil too expensive for me...

Ima go with the logitech gt force which is also a good wheel nd costs around $100

how does a clutch work on a video game? I remember playing with one where you could shift gears without ever pressing the clutch, was pointless to have on that racing wheel.

Check your local retail stores.

Spots like K-Mart, Target, and Walmart are already selling GT5 'cause they still had the original release date in their database.

This may not end well.

According to what is probably the biggest forum post on the gameever on GTPlanet from Amar212, the install for Gran Turismo 5 will takeover 50 minutes to complete.

Amar claims his install was done in 40 minutes, though.

Not only that, the install will take up a massive 6.4Gb on your hard drive.

You may remember Amar provided these subtle hints to the game last April before its official unveil at E3 two months later.

There’s more on it here. If you want to see the ultimate GT5 info wank, hit that link.

Gran Turismo 5 launches worldwide on Wednesday for PlayStation 3.Watch Kevin Butler steal the game’s cover car, the Mercedes SLS AMG, here.

Thanks, TSA.

Update: As half the internet is screaming out, the big install is optional.

The mandatory install will only be 256Mb, as pointed out by a Kazunori Yamauchi tweet from August. The 6.4 Gb is most likely for the optional install.

Update 2: SCEE’s just sent VG247 a statement on the matter. It’s in full below.
“GT5 gives users the option of an install. This makesloading times throughout much faster but is not a requirement whenfirst playing.

If users choose not to install the data straight away it will do itin stages as news areas, tracks etc are accessed during normal gameplay.
