nothing, really. just connect the monitor to the DVI (unless you have a unibody MBP, then you'll need a dvi > mini displaylink connection) andyou're set. after that, you can go to your preferences, click on the displays icon and set up how you want your monitor to be (as in new monitor positionedto the left and so on)
