2021 X3 is fire
In Texas we have to get the car inspected before getting registration. They check to make sure it brakes properly, and make sure other things work, like windshield wipers, lights etc. Some cities check emissions.Inspected?
That’s prob my fav v8 looks wise too. Love the flip up headlights.Best V8 Ferrari looks wise? I'll always take a F355 GTS targa with a manual. Just love the side profile with the targa off. So beautiful.
We gotta do safety inspections here in Hawaii but they don’t ever DRIVE the car....that sound like some bootleg **** broHad to get my car inspected today, 08 Acura TL. They have to drive it around the block once and I didn't want that to happen, I don't like people touching my stuff. Once they did the drive and insisted it, everything checked out fine. Then I noticed a clicking near the gearshift every time I accelerate or decelerate to a stop. (It sounds exactly like having a marble in the cupholder, it's a faint slide then click).
I was pissed bc I thought dude messed something up. And I figured if I called and asked about it, they'd just say everything went as normal. Then I wondered if this is something that always happened and I overlooked and just noticed it bc someone else drove it. Or maybe just an untimely coincidence.
Well anyway, I decided to Google it, thinking surely this hasn't happened to anyone else and it is not a common issues... Only to learn that it is a common issue. People even experience it when the vehicle has very low mileage. It's basically a bolt that engages/disengages to prevent you from putting the car in reverse while driving forward.
Few people swore it just started happening and took it to the dealership, and they just swept it under the rug as normal transmission sounds.
Some mechanics in an Acura forum tore the gearshift area down and fixed it themselves by placing a piece of felt between the bolt and what it's hitting. Lots of people thought it was a solenoid issue but that wasn't the case. He posted pics and everything. Idk if I should take it to an Acura dealer and explain the issue or to just a local mechanic.
Different states, different rules. Every inspection place I've ever been to drives it.We gotta do safety inspections here in Hawaii but they don’t ever DRIVE the car....that sound like some bootleg **** bro
There was one site that has a lot of posts about it. This guy explained it perfectly.you should really check out some Acura TL forums and see what route guys with the same issue went and how much it cost them. Here is just general car talk, doubt you will get any specific info here.....
Loaner for a few days. I tell you tho the smoothness of the ride and driving from this vantage point is a nice change of pace. That’s u?

Forreal we do inspections here in VA, but they drive the car from the inspection line into the shop. Start it up and go over things, never driving it around the block picking up donuts. None of that.We gotta do safety inspections here in Hawaii but they don’t ever DRIVE the car....that sound like some bootleg **** bro
MAN Audi had me and the wife spoiled when we dropped our car off. When she left the A4 to go to Jeep she was like what no loaner. Sure mam we will escort you over here to Enterprise. LOL. Even when I take my 97 Lexus in they offer me a loaner. LMAO.Good thing about those nice foreign companies is that almost any loaner they gave you it’s gonna be pretty nice
As opposed to dodge

Just get the extended warranty.Wife mentioned over the weekend she was driving back from my mom's house and was behind an M3. Now she wants to trade her Grand Cherokee in and get an M3. . I was like don't forget what that maintenance life is like. Be prepared.
I am certainly up for the test drive but decision is all hers. Unsure how we got off the S4/S6 to a M3 though.
