Seems like a ricer mod to me, I've only seen it done on Honda's around here. Why you'd want piss yellow headlights is beyond me, I don't see how it would help you see better either.bigboss , wcis , nelson ........thoughts on light yellow tint on my front headlights ? and what color should i make my halos.....the regular white seems boring when you can put purple/blue/red/green/etc...lol
Yellow lights started as a means to reduce glareback in foggy conditions. Basin oriented prefectures in Japan are notorious for extremely thick fog and people would often combat this by using yellow tinted headlight covers or bulbs. Same principal applies to fog lights. They're traditionally soft white or yellow because low intensity beams penetrate better through the fog whereas high intensity beams reflect off of it, making it harder to see. I see a lot of people swap out their OEM fogs for brighter HID or LED aftermarket units, not realizing they're voiding the entire purpose of fogs in the first place.
