And then you're driving a modded 3-series which is much more likely to break down as opposed to the E9x M3 which is regarded as an extremely reliable vehicle. Not to mention you aren't going to have the same steering, suspension, chassis balance, etc.

There's more to driving than going fast.

Oh, and please show me a $15k 335i.

And i agree it's not the same. If someone said here you go ill give you an M3 or 335i, you're choice, im taking the M.  But they are not even close to the same price, so don't compare them like they are.

Oh please show you a $15k 335i?

Don't under estimate that German depreciation

Why do Germans depreciate so bad?
Don't know but it will probably stop me from ever getting one. Unless it's an M that is already a few years old....

Because you can go out and buy something like a brand new Honda Accord for 24k and it's gonna be worth 15k in 4 or 5 years, or you can buy a Bimmer for 50k and it's worth 15k in 5 years......

You could give the Accord away for free and still have lost less money than you did on the Bimmer

Iam looking strictly at a 2015 335i in Estoril blue with M package. It would be my first luxury vehicle and iam def leasing

Why do Germans depreciate so bad?
Cause when they get old and up there in the miles like that BMW 3 series posted above it costs a lot of money to replace parts. You can always tell if somebody is a fool when they buy an early 2000's v12 Merc for a 10k.

It really depends on packages and down payment. Believe it or not there's quite a few specials going on but not many vehicles in stock with my criteria.

Demand of the car typically. Because Japanese cars are more reliable, easier to maintain and usually good on gas, people desire them more which drives the price up.
Germans cars vice versa.

**** is more than just a myth too, it's 100% real.  My buddy got a CLK55 AMG and he's only put like 6k miles on it in 2 years because he has a work vehicle, that thing still has had nothing but constant problems.  He's dumped thousands into it just to keep it on the road.  It is even currently leaking fuel from somewhere in the fuel sending unit

I would lease a new one to avoid any repair issues. I would never finance a luxury car due to their crazy depreciation

I know the way Audi leases the R8's, it can actually be "cheaper" to finance, if you really plan on only having them for a few years. I looked into one last year and it just seemed like there were no benefits to leasing one. I've since assumed most other high end cars are similar, but I haven't looked into any other ones recently as I'm waiting for that new FT-1 next year.

I currently have a 13 honda accord coupe exl navi and a 13 brz limited. I'd prob get rid of the brz. Part it out and move on. The accord is a great car but iam just ready to move on from subaru.. Always wanted a bmw and iam aware of the history but through my lease time I don't have to worry about nada. :)

^ idk.  a tuned 335 would be quicker than the m3.  also those v8 engines are already outdated. the new M3 coming for 2015 is an inline 6 w/ twin turbo.

Outdated? Lol Have you driven or tuned a V8 M3? My E92 has a ton of room for growth with the right turned. Raw power of the V8 > Turbo I6.

It's turned into a 6 vs 8 lmao I just want feedback >:)

Back in 2009 I was in the market for the same cars. Test drove the C63, S5 and ISF before the M3.

I test drove the M3 and bought it on the spot, no looking back. To me, the M3 was the more refined, better handling, more comfortable car.

Plus Awd... I've said for a long time I'd rather have a 335 than an M3...so much more torque too...

Seems like BMW is going turbo on all their top trim levels.

Actually, every single BMW is turbo now...

Tune isn't really gonna do much for that v8.  It's NA and it's pretty refined as is.

By the way don't get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE the e9x M3's. Seriously love them and i love the sounds that v8 makes.  But a turbo 6 is going to respond to mods a LOT better than a NA V8, that's just a fact

This is a good point. I forgot about the 335xi.   another reason to buy the cheaper 335 over the M

these are indeed facts.

didn't mean to start a v6 vs v8 war.. LOL.  regardless, if you plan on leasing the bmw, you'll be leaving it stock, i guess the m3 would be better out the box.  if you're into modification, the 335 would have the greater potential.  so yea it's  more about your preference.
