For all the problems that car has I'm pretty sure they easily offload that car and not take a big hit obviously selling it through a private sale would be ideal because Ferrari dealerships or the worst when I comes to selling it back to them

Ehh they depreciate slower than most decent interest rates.

If you buy one for say 30K at 0-5% interest in two or three years you are going to owe a lot less than the car is worth.

You can't say that for the average new car especially when it comes to "luxury cars" you are pretty much guaranteed to be upside on a car loan even at 0% interest.

The average person ain't getting 0% percent interest either.

Its not an investment but the real cost of ownership is something all of us need to consider when buying a car. Unless you got Gold St money.

Comparing used luxury cars to new cars. Everybody knows you can get a used S Class/7-Series with over 100,000 miles on it for cheap.

Comparing aftermarket modded cars to stock cars. Everybody knows you can buy a Civic and put $30,000 into it to make it faster than a Corvette.

Let's keep it to used cars vs used cars and stock cars vs stock cars.

Even if you bought an American muscle car in the 60's or 70's, kept it stock, stored it, and got lucky that its actually a highly sought after model now, it would still be one of the worst investments possible. If you had the money to just buy a car outright, and not drive it...... why would anybody do that, you realize after inflation, storage space, and upkeep you'd still be taking a loss? Just makes no sense.

Nobody buys a car with that intent, lets be real. Buying a new car with the intent to make money on it has to be one of the dumbest things someone could do.

But if you actually use the car to get from A to B, you lose less value with a hemi than you would with most anything else. So it being an asset that depreciates less than other equivalent assets makes it a "good investment" per se

The depreciation didnt really play a role in my decision to cop the 392, but being able to depend on it's value staying strong is def a huge bonus IMO
