\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Just pricing I suppose. I don't think I am ever going to be the guy that buys an S63 or even leases one new. I can do a 580 or as I have now an EQS. An M5 is nice compromise at least for me. I would do a 7 series or I7 thats probably on lease special but given you mentioned an M760i I'm def not that client (falls in same category as S63). Maybe if I got my cheddar up.

For now I can afford a fast mid size daily or a slow full size lol. Or whatever's on lease special I guess.

Lease specials are the best. Looks like a lot are poppin up.

I see it but I’m just still in disbelief….. 100k for a regular optioned C class….. let me rephrase that, 100k for a regular optioned 4cylinder C class………..

How much should I expect to have my 72 Buick Electra painted (it has a rag top, if that makes any difference). Thinking about gold with flakes... with gold rims and the white top. Might be too much gold. Also been looking at some 24 inch snow flake rims that are on sale, I want spoke rims but I don't wanna pay what they cost for that size.

Have u considered wrap?? Much cheaper and still looks pretty good. A legit gold metal flake paint job will b expensive

Roughly now a days a decent/driver paint job is around 10k-13k going to a reputable shop, show car quality 15k-20k..that Buick is a boat but since you got the rag top it might even out on the cost/labor. If you wanna add gold flakes def. gonna drive up the price I would assume.
Thats what I been quoted to fully repaint the GN w/ t-tops here in AZ, so I'm guessing where you at might be close or slightly cheaper

It's just a proven thing man, otherwise we would get them. All the car guys complain we don't get wagons but then don't buy them when we get them. How many Corolla GRs (hatch) do you see at car meets? Yet everyone was so stoked that we were getting it.

I would love an RS6 or Turbo S Turismo one day.

depends on which car meets you're going to. i see a quite a few Civic Type-Rs and GRs just driving just driving around on a regular basis. not everyone has the means for a RS6 or Taycan. you're either at $100K+ for a hot wagon or ~$45k for a hatchback. what we're missing is an intermediate option.

i think the problem is cars are too expensive tbh
the reason why the small suvs such as the model y are the biggest market is because its a do it all car for every single person
they are big enough to carry kids car seats
has enough trunk space
now they make them "sporty"
and they can get great mileage

type r and GRs are too expensive imo, along with every other car

Whats next?

I have an order for a 296 GTS that I probably will back out of due to price. Lots of factors played into that decision but I'll just say it's just too expensive for the car.

I am looking into other cars for now, I love Porsche still but the hype is killing the brand a bit, for me. I don't think 250k for a GT3 is worth it vs a 458/488 or even a 720/600lt.

I'm enjoying my R8 still so I have time to decide. I think ideally I would like an F8 or 488. 458 is up there too but at this point it's crazy money for a good one.

What would you consider an intermediate wagon?

the gt3 is amazing but i agree a bit too much

my buddy lucked out, after 6 months of ownership of the 992 gt3 the engine went bad and porsche reimbursed for everypenny including the markup he paid :lol

I hear you. I have a decent relationship with my dealership. I’ve gotten 3 cars from them so far and when I even ask about a gt3 they will either steer me to what they have on consignment or offer me an allocation for another 992 that I’m not interested. 458/488 are probably next for me. Hoping to hold on to my 992 since it’s 7mt

Yeah I'm not that fond of paying 250k for a 200k car. I rather spend 250k for a preowned 300-400k car anyday.

I think a RS4 or M3 touring would do really well. At a much lower price point, the Golf R wagon.

Yeah no one is denying that they are cool cars. Even those for intermediate would be wildly expensive here.

But again, no one is buying wagons here. They have had 3 series wagons here for years and were just recently discontinued. Nobody bought it. IS300 sport cross, extremely unwanted car. A4 all road nobody buys.

If you even look at shooting brake type cars like the FF/GTC4 they are ridiculously underperforming models for Ferrari and they won't be replacing them.

It's too small of a market.

I get they are all cool, and sure it would be nice to even have the option, but I understand why we don't get them. I'm just glad we have the RS6 and Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S/Taycan Turismo.

I don't think anyone is asking Dodge to bring back the Magnum are they?? Has anyone ever even seen the CTS-V wagon we got on the street?

How livable is the R8 to daily?

the point i'm making is that what's been offered in the US is not what consumers want. the RS6 does really well because it is a sport wagon. the A4 all road, 3 series, etc. are not, which is why nobody buys them. i myself would much rather purchase a crossover over any of the other wagons that we've had available.

if the M5 touring sells as well as the RS6, then it further proves that there is a market here in the states. people want a performance/sport wagon, probably more specifically a euro wagon, not an oldsmobile. until there is an intermediate option, we won't know for sure. what i do know is that a Magnum and RS6 Avant are not comparable.

Tried to get the undercarriage detailed today but my friends shop was super busy so will have to try next week. I figured I'd get the exterior washed & clay'ed while I was already out & about. Been a whole year since I last got it done. I'd do it myself but claying takes a lot of effort & energy- 2 things I just don't have with this current heatwave.
