\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Picked up this 100% completely virgin and original 96 EX Coupe a few weeks ago. I have been searching for a while for a new daily to keep miles off my CTR. I paid $1250 for it from an old couple. It has all the service records and even the original window sticker. The car was originally purchased in Florida and remained here its entire life, where it was garage kept for most of the time. Paint is original with zero clearcoat fade.

DAMN a 96 virgin Civic, like a damn unicorn especially factoring in the import market in Florida. Love finds like that.

Don't be TOO jealous. The headgasket blew shortly after I bought it, lmao.

It's at my dad's shop getting the head rebuilt. We're also changing out a ton of other standard maintenance items while the car is ripped apart.

I may have also bought some wheels/tires and coilovers for it too
You switchin to stick?

That '4, the blue Monte, the red Monte and the Box are all fuego. Never seen a Box with a rag top. And first time seeing a Low Low with an LS

Just a facelift, but I think it looks waay better than previous years. atomic silver is such a sexy color

They did a little bit to shed some pounds. Also changed the gearing to aid acceleration. Biggest weifht savings obviously on the track edition. But if I wanted a car to do hoodrat **** w/ my friends in for the next year or two when the m4/m4 comp drops it’d prob be that track edition. Looks sweet

Baby about to tick 100K, any suggestions on something special to do for her. I already had her detailed around 60/65K miles. Currently, she has 18's that came with it that I drive all year round, I been thinking of getting her some new summer 20's. Also considered really upgrade the sound system?

I just got a new car and after driving it for a week realizing how much I miss having keyless push to start ignition.

This key is mad clunky and annoying to have to pull out every time I’m getting in and out the car, which is all day for me.

I have accidentally hopped out of my old car without having it in park and it rolls away on me... so I guess that is one downside to keyless ignition. Still, I think I’m going to look into adding it to this car if possible.

i went thru the same thing when i got my impala. dunno how all cars after like 2013 arnt push to start

so far the truck is getting about 21 MPG... better than my G37 used to get it haha

to be fair ive been leaving it in 2WD exclusively and not accelerating quickly but good to know as a commuter vehicle I should see 20+MPG

if you upgrade sound system, start with speakers first. factory speakers are the worst, even on upper level systems.

other than that, id say do a maintainence overhaul, replace a lot of stuff like. brake lines, water pump, timing belt/chain, exhaust parts, hub bearings, ball joints, etc.. you could easily get to 250,000miles

seen a lot of people get rid of decent cars because of a $500 repair (mechanic come ups)

my wrangler didnt have push start or prox sensor for door unlock, one of the things i hated about it.

Most def I started with speakers and head unit in my Lexus. Yeah factory speakers in high end cars are trash so imagine for a Toyota. I was thinking head unit, amp, a little sub because of lack of room and speakers. Jesus $500 mechanic bill and people throwing cars away. I just changed the rear brakes, front isn't ready just yet. I would like to upgrade the brake lines, thanks for the suggestion. The hidden stuff is always the overlooked and forgotten part.
