Not even surprised, which is a problem.
If anything law enforcement workers should get much harsher penalties than regular civilians. These officers were specifically trained to follow and uphold the law, trained about firearms, how to use them, when to use them, ...They still don't get it, civilians have been sentenced for lesser crimes, hell even accidental discharge can get you jail time.
However, if you're a cop you pretty much have all the leeway in the world. Just watch as union politics get you out of any jam. No amount of protesting, looting, rioting, BLM demonstrations, appealing to your gov't officials is going to work. This country has pretty much determined your live doesn't matter.

A regular civilian is not, but if he were to accidentally discharge his gun in public he'd probably go to jail, 100% if it was a person of color.
If a police officer accidentally discharged their gun in public, ideally they should face a much more severe punishment because they're law enforcement officers and had specific training that is supposed to prevent things like that.
Instead, a police officer can "accidentally discharge" his weapon and even kill an innocent man and walk away with a temporary suspension. It's the police who should be held to a much higher standard and therefore face much harsher punishment for their crimes than ordinary citizens. Not the other way around, turning the police badge into a get of jail card.

He got his reality checkBlack cops not safe out here either
Shot by white cops while trying to help them out after a car chase.
Small communities could do without cops. The people can police themselves if they have established acceptable and unacceptable behavior and how they will punish people for crimes. Large cities are more complicated."To serve and protect"
I wonder how the world would be without police, they don't come to my neighborhood anyways if you call. Aparantly I live in a really bad neighborhood but I've never had anything bad happen to me. My girlfriend found a dead body and it took them 3 hours to come and get rid of it.
They don't give a damn out here. Dude overdosed and died in a bush and they just show up whenever.
