Fans and media seem to be pushing him out of the door but I'd give him another year, assuming we can get a QB early.

Nah.. Demarco was good in Dallas getting extra yards once he got to the 2nd level..

But dude isn't hitting the hole here.. And even when he gets to the 2nd level or vs dbs, he isn't lowering his pad level and getting yards after contact

See the sliding play which pretty much exemplifies his play with us.. I think it's a case of guy getting paid and being satisfied

yeah Demarco didn't lost talent, look at the backs in Dallas now, they all pretty much blow while McFadden is average at best

Chip is not putting him in situations that benefit his strength

For that one example of him sliding I've seen him a million times lower his shoulder and try to run dudes clean over ..stiff arms ..hurdles ..cmon man

When we've gone under center he's been 100 times better ..hell wen we actually feed him consistently he's better

He's a rhythm back ..u gotta consistently let him wear down a defense and then he'll pop a big one later on in the game

He didn't get here and forget how to run ..I know y'all will say it was the Dallas Oline but nah ..I see a complete back that ain't being utilized correctly

I realize our line hasn't been that good.. But they aren't THAT bad as they are made out to be..

Once Tobin came in things got better.. We still obviously need to address oline significantly in the draft and wouldn't surprise me at all if our 2 3rds are spent there

Mathews isn't out there jukin guys all over the place.. Dude hits the hole and runs hard.. Which is to be expected from one cut and go guys

How doesn't Demarco fit..

We run a zone blocking scheme without the chop blocking.. A one cut runner with speed and ability to get yards after contact is what fits the system

It's why we looked at the guys we did (gore along with the guys we signed)

Demarco running off tackle out of the gun has been a disaster all year. He doesn't have the short area quickness to make those runs consistently.

He also doesn't benefit from being off the field every other drive ..he needs to be in a consistent rhythm. Your making him out to be some bum when that's not the case. Dallas literally gave Chip the formula on what he does to be successful and you got chip out here running him like he's Shady 2.0

It was a bad signing all around ..we should unload him but I don't see a team taking on his contract
