Pelle Pelle WAS da longest running last URBAN brand that still wield DOMINANCE.. RIP

i was think thinking about it last night as i ordered my second pelle leather, and i can't think of any brand that was

birthed in da hiphop urban segment that's been around since da DAWN of hiphop and STILL dominating in their field

right now....i mean let's face it, these guys still command 700+ for their leather jackets EVERY YEAR and they all sell

consistently...i dunno what other urban brand counterparts can ask for that type of money on ANY of their products period.

Well in NY, Pelle def has stayed the most relevant leather brand in the hood. I feel like when baggy clothes went out of the style for the most part in the late 00s. Pelle's status as a leather jacket company actually rose. I used to see a lot of Hudson leathers getting rocked back in the day. Now for the most part it's just Pells

 al wissams never got a foothold in NY, they're styles got stale QUICK while pelle just seemed to just keep getting better and better, plus

there's alot more history with pelle pelle, wissams were a 1-2 year thing and they were gone, i've seen pelles from elementary school in da early

90's to right now in 2013 still poppin.

haven't seen that brand after da calender went from da 90's to da 2000's.

and even if it was still roaching it around in a pocket of america, NO ONE is paying 800+ for any piece of mecca period.

so far unless anyone can post one otherwise, pelle pelle is da last of da Mohicans.

stussy started in da 80's, (and is a streetwear brand) pelle pelle started in 1978, and is firmly urban.

I had a pelle when I was younger. Had to throw it away eventually cause somehow it smelled like straight up fish and it wouldn't come out
