im old and washed so i forget but is the ZF2 the flyknit version? if so then yeah thats when they put the cf plate and i thought they'd start charging $200 for both upgrades but the price stayed the same and i was shocked considering nike is nike

Yes, the ZF2 is the Flyknit version. It was a great bargain even at retail at the time of its release since it had a pure CF plate and full React cushioning. IIRC, it was $160.
I scooped up multiples at Ross and the Clearance Store for around $40-$50 a couple of months ago.

I liked the ZF2, but the OG was one of my fave running shoes of all time. I miss that shoe, except for the occasional hot spot I'd get on my heel/achilles from the collar.

First time I experienced that rocker/plate sensation on the ZF1 SP, it blew my mind lol
Have a soft spot for it, would love it if they retro'd it in the original white/crimson/sail colourway.

they did! eventually sat at the outlets and scooped up a couple pairs for $50.
but yeah, i want more ZF SP again since they make good casual shoes and trainers

Of all my swaps, the ZF1 sole IS definitely my most swapped. I want to say I have around 30 of them. I just LOVE the versatility of that sole. It’s fast, firm and snappy on runs, but is actually pretty comfy when worn casually!
I remember flying to LA and visiting a nearby outlet. I ended scooping up seven pairs of the all White ZF1s (Zoom Fly 1 SP NA) during the F&F promotion for I think $40 per. I had to be a master packer to get them to fit in my luggage LOL

just got to look at other tourist at the outlets, they're smart, they go there with no bags at all and buy those rolling baggages from one of the outlet stores and then fill it up with the new stuff they buy
i see this almost everytime i go to the outlets, especially the ones near a casino

Definitely packing light for my next runcation! I learned to master it over the years lol
All my race gear (race half tights, singlet, socks and arm sleeve) all packed into my VFNs. My casual gear was packed into my ZF3s. The bigger items were just military rolled in my backpack.
Definitely planning to make stops at different Nike Stores.

Has anyone tried the Deviate Nitro? I'm loving the Velocity so much that I'm naturally curious about an improved version. Seeing it for $110 on Eastbay, I know some had issues with the heel counter but I'm thinking I'm willing to chance it for that price.

First run in these today, I’m really not sure why the Magic Speed has mediocre reviews, to me it felt like a lighter, faster, more stable Novablast. I cannot reconcile how certain reviewers find this not bouncy or too firm either. When I leaned into some half marathon pace miles today they really gave back a lot. Color me impressed.

My thoughts exactly. It was only firm out the box, after a couple of runs and at pace, feels really good.
