"OTHER BRAND" - RUNNING shoe thread - asics, saucony, new balance, hoka one one, adidas, reebok, brooks, altra, skechers, etc...

Eeem though I already have the SuperBlast 1s and 2s, I’m interested in the Glycerin Max. I’m just not feeling any of the cws though.

Surprised to hear that they axed the ON cloudeclipse, best ON shoe I’ve run in. Weird decision.
My guess is the Cloudsurfer Max is a *rebranding* of the Eclipse to simplify their lineup, à la Nike’s Icon, Plus, and Premium.

not axed - to L Locke 's point, it was renamed to fit under the cloudsurfer family as the max and was explained in the BITR TRE video with ON

I saw that but it doesn't seem like the Max has the speed board shank and being a cloudsurfer I imagine the foam will be a softer durometer. Don't mind giving it a go when it's released but my guess is the ride will be a lot different, i.e. you won't be able to pick it up as good as the eclipse when needed.

Seems like there's going to be a lot of options coming up either way!

watched the video a few days back so memory might be foggy with all the TRE content and the holidays here, but think they mentioned Max is going to have a firmer foam with slight changes to the midsole geometry compared to the current Eclipse due to the lack of the speedboard that provided stability. this is what they also said is going to be the true "max" cushioned offering from the line

with the momentum ON has going on right now, don't think they are going to completely overhaul the "second" version of a popular and well performing shoe.

On sale for $102... If anyone here that remember how light and cushioned Clifton 1s are...

I think that I may finally be jumping onto the COROS ship since I have a 20% med promo. From what I've seen, I really like how crisp the display and colors are on the COROS watches.

I'd be transitioning from the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro. The graphics and colors look outdated/dull/fuzzy compared to COROS. I'm considering the Vertix 2S as my favorite. Anyone currently use a COROS?

I’ve been using the Forerunner 255 with no complaints but the Coros watch faces look so good—and there’s nothing on Connect IQ that comes close.

COROS does med promos?

Waiting on Joe’s outlet to get the 880V14 in. One of my shoe regrets of this year was selling off my 880V13. Such a nice workhorse shoe.

ASICS GT 1000 is a gem. Very dope. Tried on a pair and I enjoyed the comfort and fit. I’m really trying to get away from the Pegasus Nike line this year

I just copped the last size 10, but a few sizes left of the Cloudeclipse with 30% off. This is my first pair of ONs. I've been eyeing this color/model for a while.

New Superblast cw dropped on Asics, that greyish purple similar to the Novablast 5. Tempted but going to hold out for a better cw.

Have an Adizero SL2 on the way - very interested to run in this to see if it stacks up as the real underrated gem of daily trainers this year.

Also had a recent trial of the Supernova Prima recently.

Dreamstrike foam in a max cushion definitely has a place I think. Really enjoyed the forefoot cushioning and decent pop when upping tempo too.

Only thing I’m unsure of is the heel strike - it’s different to my usual Nike Infinity RN but maybe it’s just me needing to get used to it.

At the right price point and some small tweaks I think it might be a very good max cushion to compete with the big stacks everywhere. Interesting to see where they go with it.
