The Glycerin Max is quite comfortable, and surprisingly capable of quick turnover, but it rides a bit heavy. I’ve run between 10:00 and 4:25 min/mile pace and it was comfortable throughout. So if weight isn’t an issue for you, I’d say the Max is a solid buy. Plus, I like the look!

I’ve been enjoying the Glycerin Max. As a forefoot striker, the shoe really rewards good form with a nice bounce and roll forward that is good at any pace.

And after about 5 days of use, it’s broken-in nicely—noticeably different from out of the box—for both midsole and upper.

We like running in different shoes for a variety of reasons, be it for fun and/or types of runs, or whatever. But if you could recommend only one shoe that’s capable of everything from daily training up to 26.2 miles, what would it be, and why? For example, I’d probably recommend the SB2—it may not be the best for slower, shorter runs (though it’s reasonably comfortable for that, IMO) but it shines brightest the faster and longer you run. Nevertheless, it can do it all. So what’s y’all’s recommendation?

I think the Hoka Mach X2 would be a good option.

How so, if you don’t mind?
The Mach X2 are pretty versatile. They have peba forefoot cushioning and a plastic plate so they can handle uptempo and racing. I’ve also took them out for some easy runs and they felt fine.

Endorphin speed series. I’ve owned 1-3 and they seem to somehow get better with more miles on them. Light, springy, nylon plates do it all shoe.

NB SC trainer v2 is another one I really enjoy running in, although not for speedy runs or races. It feels like what the Invincible should have been - light, springy, and a joy to run in.

I’m still perfectly happy with the NVB3s. However, I wouldn’t mind one pair of NVB5s. The cws for the NVBs haven’t been that great since the 3s though.

Ran in the Brooks Glycerin Max. Only ran three miles. Definitely a plush ride, love the rocking.

-I still kind of like the Superblast2
-I was wearing normal Nike crew socks and felt hot spots with possibility of foot blisters. Could have been the socks. I’ll give it one more go on a slow four miler on Wednesday. Hopefully Brooks has a decent open box return policy if my opinion doesn’t change.

Also in for the NB5. I love the 4s.

Brooks’ return policy is 90 days, so you’ve got plenty of time.

I don’t know why early samples’ colors look horrid but here’s the Rebel v5, via Reddit.

Really wanted these for my upcoming Philippines trip. The gents at Minted made sure to not let me miss. Can’t wait to gain some PI mileage

Ghost 17 via Reddit. I wish Brooks would lower the drop but I guess it’s one of the most popular daily trainers for a reason. Still, 12mm seems a bit much.
