Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

One of my favorite actors, Oscar Issac, has been Cast as Pablo Escobar for director Brad Furman and his Black List script from Matt Aldrich. The films is being described as ”the Latino Godfather“ and a cross between the classic mob film and a war picture, with it containing “the story of his family, the structure of his enterprise, and his rise.” Production kicks off this fall.

Just as long as its better than Billy Walsh's Medellin.

Billy's misunderstood, but he brought it on himself working with Vince.

He thought it'd be Leo and Marty. Wasn't even Clooney and Soderbergh. :{

queens blvd was so damn good, though, that was the problem. son hit an eight run homerun with that one.

:lol add Entourage to the list of shows that I just stopped watching. And I think I stopped once they finished Medillien, those episode were brutal to me

entourage kinda sucked around there but when vinny couldn't find a job it got great and then they dropped the ball a little again. i still hate how in the finale they have duke get married out of nowhere. yes i know vince is impulsive, but they shoulda built and dragged that reporter situation from the first episode of the season not the last 2.

His follow up work as Wally Balls was high quality though ... if you're into that sort of thing...

James Spader is at his best when he plays dark/evil baddies (Less Than Zero, Pretty In Pink, 2 Days In The Valley). This show looks interesting. It really grabbed me when the rookie profiler wanted info from Spader's character to save her husband.

I know I should judge it on its own merits, but the first thing that jumped into my mind while watching the trailer was that it looks like a Silence of the Lambs knock-off. It seems like Starling and Lecter over again, but with some different twists and nuances. Like Mr. O said, if it gets great reviews and I hear some good things about it from people I know, I'd consider checking it out.

Vinnie Chase falling for a porn star who was going to gangbangs for brunch was sort of an odd move.

My favorite Entourage scene will always be Ari going into the building with a paintball gun and firing everybody. :rollin :rollin Not a soul on Earth doesn't want that 5 minutes of freedom to do something like that and not go to jail. :lol

Part of me wishes there was JUST a TV thread. Been on that grind lately and that's all I really want to talk about. :lol

When Vinny hit rock bottom after Medellin is when he should have dived into coke.

The last 2-3 seasons were awful.

and we never got more than a 5 second glimpse of that so called brilliant film. that bothered me too. i knew marty wouldn't be on the screen because of his schedule, but they could've at least done something more with the modern day gatsby instead of just saying, hey, everyone loves you again.

They can't even make an amazing gatsby in real life. They weren't gonna give you an amazing gatsby fake movie lol

Entourage was terrible the last few seasons. Only watched them because of how much I loved seasons 1-4
