Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

i heard some good info on prescreening for oblivion.

Film was enh...but people will enjoy the visuals. Very ill. Not that the film was wack or anything but the story took too long to develop..and when it did it was damn near over.

Wasn't the ending to alf super sad and they had to come back and do a special

I still need to watch taxi.

Maybe it's the whiskey I've had, but the Campaign is pretty funny. That scene when Farrell gets but by the snake - I was near tears.

Olivia Wilde's on Leno. :smokin :{ :evil :rolleyes

I got a book full of good ideas...that's the first one.

I watched Rear Window for the first time today, the scene when they're looking across and the only thing

they see is Thorwald's cigarette glowing is so cool.  Up next is Vertigo...

Instead of drinking whisky, I'm fixing myself endless vodka tonics while watching The Campaign.......

makes me feel like I could make a play in politics

Watched Broken City last night. Meh. Decent cast, but wasn't as good as I hoped. Reminded me of State of Play, another Crowe paycheck movie. Decent, kills the time, doubt I need to see it ever again.

Picked up a copy of The Host. *shrugs*

Watching Boston is killing me, need something to get my mind off real issues for a while ya know? :\

People would think Oblivion was not one of the year's best had someone less douchier than Tom Cruise played the main character.

Am I the only one that thinks Gats y looks like ****? From the modern music to that driving scene in the tv spots to Daisy I just don't think I'll enjoy this film as much as I should.

I guess we just saw the same commercial because I came in here to say I have such low expectations for gatsby that I'll end up thinking it wasn't that bad

I can't express how terrible I think it's gonna be. But it makes me wanna read the book over so I guess it's worth it.

The only thing I think this director will get right is the use of color (which I admit is a big deal for this book) the yellow car looks great in the trailer

I just have a bad, bad feeling. I loved the new Romeo and Juliet so I guess I have to give it a chance. But... I'm not hopeful.

Has anyone seen the Redford one? Is it good?

And Leo ain't getting no damn Oscar for this one. Gotta hope that wall street movie is good. He was rooooobbed for django.

It looks like doo doo to me also but I've never been a Baz Luhrmann fan. He's one of the few directors where I've never been able to finish his flicks.

edit - I just caught the last 40 minutes of Kill Bill 2 on one of the Starz channels. The end credits with Malagueña Salerosa by Robert Rodriguez's band Chingon is one of the all time great ending credit sequences. I also love how they show David Carradine's Bill hunched over in death.
