Throwing in Gladiator
#4 was just okay, I didn't think it was "Spiderman 3/The Love Guru/Zohan/From Paris With Love" bad, (I've only subjected and tortured myself with one of those
) but it certainly had its forgettable points but also its aspects that totally didn't make you shut off the movie and throw in something else. Acting sucked, but I thought the love story between the two was somewhat believable and coherent, so I gave the directors and two leads credit for that. Timothy Olaphant could have been utilized A LOT better. I know he was just the caretaker but they could have had a few scenes where he was training #4 in ways to harness his powers... you know, where he had more value to the kid than just sheltering him.
Reason I watched it in the first place was because I had a long drive ahead and I was searching for a movie to watch on my Touch. I Am Number Four had just been released on DVD and it was one of the ones on iTunes Movie's front page, so I said, "Eh. Why not."

Plans for an 'I Am Number Four' sequel have been "shelved".
Simons told Collider.com: "I think that that's on the back burner. The last I heard, they were shelving that idea for now. But, you never know. Sometimes the afterlife of movies burns brightly. They can certainly bring it back.
"But, right now, I don't think there's any immediate plans. My only real regret about that is that Number Six was really awesome and I would have liked to have seen a lot more of her. We need another kick-!%! girl heroine."
