I remember early DVDs allowing you to choose between wide and full screen when you start the movie. To this day I still don’t know why they started releasing them separately.

I found this stuff in the article more funny, she called a meeting mid-filming demanding this

Those were the days but cmon we know why they started releasing separate versions. Same reason they started taking out the bonus features from the rental copies.

I gotta see more (and maybe other earlier stuff), but I think from Lady Bird the first time I saw him, his adaptability to SNL environments and the type of people there, Dune: Part Two as he commanded that character which for me is currently his apex—I think he’s loading. Just loading up. Which, huge compliment because he’s done a lot of work already.

He killed that Don’t Look Up character.

Licorice Pizza is just pointless, abstract discomfort. It's weird just to be weird; no purpose.
Hard Candy is uncomfortable with a STRONG purpose.

Went to see Conclave with my boys (actual children - not "my boys") because my son sad it's the best movie he's seen this year and it was the last chance.

Pretty interesting.

Right now watching Red One and enjoying it - it's pretty silly but I like when they do that seriously.

If you appreciate slow-burning dramas, Conclave is a good choice.

I get what they’re saying, but seems a little silly when the longer books were already converted into 2.5-ish movies. 8 hours would then appear to be more than enough to handle those books as TV series seasons.
