Somebody should start a cable service
It’s like these idiots don’t even recognize they’re repeating themselves.

The entire attraction of streaming was you could watch shows or movies that were not available on cable, you could binge or watch anything at your convenience, there were no ads/commercials, and initially it was cheaper than cable/satellite.

To me this is kinda running parallel to the days of Moviepass. The theaters just created their own copycat and MP eventually crashed and burned. Thing is Netflix was able to sustain themselves and these media companies are trying to balance a streaming service to make profit and keep their cable stations going.

This is a fascinating take considering it's the late 70's :eek

One of the quotes underneath mentions Brandon wanted to approach the role as a bagel.

A bagel. :lol

The Substance is one of those movies that has one really really good idea, and beats it into the ground for like an extra 30mins.

they really could have shortened it, but its a wild time at the movies.

Movie errors: Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Spike: Ignatius, do you know what the square root of 26,481 is?

Iggy: What are you talking about?

Spike: 191!

Well, actually 191 is the square root of 36,481

Have you seen Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities?

I don't know anything about The Substance aside from what's shown in the trailers, but it reminded me of "The Outside" episode of that show

That is a complete sentence.

My favorite fact I learned about the John Wick movies is the gunfire is all CGI to avoid what happened to Alec Baldwin and blanks.
I think the director Chad was the stunt double for Brandon Lee on The Crow.
