Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Haven't looked it up, but was he really black balled after The Incredible Hulk?
No

He had his reputation of being difficult to work with way before Incredible Hulk and he kept getting work.

Ed Norton considers himself an actual actor not just a movie star looking for his next check so he doesn't ho himself out to a bunch of movies. From a quick look though since IH he's been a movie every year sometimes more than one. Other times he might skip a year but theres no huge gaps in his resume.

I think he just picks his roles carefully and may be transitioning in to more directing.

Didn’t he want too much to play the Hulk in the Avengers?

And since Norton’s Hulk was released in 2008 (not even in the Avengers ecosystem technically, that started with Iron Man), they went cheaper with Ruffalo, who’s obviously still a good actor in his own right.

Both movies came out in 2008. Incredible Hulk came out after Iron Man. The Incredible Hulk mid or after credit scene with Tony Stark in it directly tied the movie in to the MCU. General Thunderbolt Ross being the main link.

Norton didn't want more money. Its just he completely took over the Incredible Hulk movie. He was rewriting the script as they filmed it. Literally writing new dialog for scenes they were about to film next. Then he edited his own cut of the movie and had the studio release that version instead of the director's cut

So going in to the Avengers which was more collaborative, how much they were already paying him and keeping in mind Universal owned the distribution rights to Hulk movies meaning there weren't going to be any solo Hulk MCU movies Feige recast the role.

SNL back tonight after a month break :pimp: ... Maya Rudolph hosting, Jack Harlow musical performer. I gotta say during the pandemic I’ve been watching this 1 out of every 2 shows live

So I got like 40 minutes into Godzilla: King of the Monsters on Thursday (will finish it), but you’re tellin me Coach Taylor can get these dudes in the military and scientist team that recruited him, to open the hatch to Godzilla’s resting place at the oil rig... just cause he said so? Name after name in this cast though, Eric from Billy Madison, Ice Cube’s son, just in one-liner parts.

I’ve been watching the old Muppet Show episodes on Disney+. I like them more now than I did when I was a kid. (Weed may be contributing to that, in part).

I was so annoyed when the animated verison made Super Shadow too dark:

Any of y'all caught the first two Falcon and the Winter Soldiers yet? It's decent I hope, different vibe but I loved WandaVision.

Captain Fantastic 7/8. Mad at myself for taking so long to watch it.

Kid 90: 6/8. Interesting but missing different perspectives. Sorta like MJs Last Dance doc. I wanted more views of the story from other people and not just Punky Brewsters version. It kept me entertained throughout.

I don’t know if it’s been posted already but
https://www.justwatch.com/ is the perfect site to find out if a certain movie is stream able on whatever service instead of just going to Netflix taking the L, going to Prime, take another L then find its on Hulu. Search the content and bam

This has helped me immensely.

Also jsyk If you search, “Watch ___________” (movie title) on Google, you’ll get all of the options of where to stream free, where to stream paid, etc.

Minari 5/8

Sad story, came full circle at the end. It was just pretty slow for the most part if we're being honest. I actually thought we'd get more out of Yeun, but it felt more so the grandson & grandma.

Am I the only one that missed the announcement that Memories of Murder is being released by Criterion this April? Just found out and preordered, but ****, this next 3 weeks is going to be the longest.
