Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I was biased heading into the movie, but Pacific Rim got me so hyped throughout the film :eek

hated the begining and end of pacific rim.

the inbetween was great though

they should have not casted the sons of anarchy guy though. or they should have let him using his normal english voice.

IDK why I can't delete that.^^^

What are some movies that you guys have watched that is so good that reccomend without giving insight into why it's good because it's so good?

Mine would be:

The Cure

Edward Scissorhands

Wow, I just saw Shattered Glass. Hayden Christensen was great in it. Why didn't he stay in that lane? He could've had a career as a character actor playing those type of roles and stretching his range from there.

**** is sad now when I think about him being in the SW prequel, Jumper, and that movie about extreme thieves with Walker, Elba, Chris Brown, and T.I.

I may actually watch the movie where he plays some reporter in the middle east or some other part of Africa.

Now you see why I defend him as Vader. He COULD have done the job. Lucas tied his, and everyone else's hands with those atrocious scripts.

Shattered Glass was so freaking good.

Haven't been in this thread in a bit, so I'm not sure if it was discussed already. Did anyone catch the HBO doc Casting By?

Awesome watched, I really enjoyed it. Marion Dougherty truly deserves all the credit and praise the doc gave her. Really made me think whether or not Casting Directors (if they should even be referred to as that title), deserve an award at the Oscars. What do you guys think?

Why are you hating on Ron Perlman. :{

haven't seen it yet but think he's talking about charlie hunnam (Jax) ... does idris elba use an american accent in this as well? curious

no they let him use his real voice.

he was great in it.

that ending was just so full of it though... :{

and yea im talking about jax dude from the gay uk show and that judd apatow show

maybe if they let jax use his natural british voice it would have been better but it was just basically jax controlling huge robots. it was hard cheering for that schmuck character he portrayed

on another note I liked kick *** 2 although its getting slammed by the critics...

more darker than the first and if they do a third one it will probably even more darker....

Mother Russia kicked *** in this movie tho

The Mother ****** is going to come back in part 3 looking like krang after that shark ate his legs and balls up :lol

Was Pain and Gain worth watching? I heard it has Bay's Bad Boys tone to it which makes me interested. Just not sure on Marky Mark and Rock together.

I saw Compliance last night and man :rollin :hat I remember seeing the stories on the news a few years back and a thread made on it here but ppl sure are dumb and weak willed in certain situations.

Now I'm strangely way more attracted to Dreama Walker.

For yall who don't know the movie is about that dude that would call fast food restaurants pretending to be a cop, accuse a random female worker of stealing, have the manager detain them, and then as a "cop" authorize another male to detain, strip, and search her. In some cases taking it way farther than that :evil

Just got through watching Boogie Nights...
:smokin

This movie was awesome. It had drama, action, and comedy! .... and boobies!
So many quotable lines
"What do you think you're doing? That's Rollergirl!!"
:rollin

So far PTA is 3/3 for me (having watched The Master and TWBB).

Still need to watch Magnolia and Punch Drunk Love.

i thought it was hilarious although as ska said i seem to go against the grain lol

the rock stood out as the most hilarious. his jesus freak character had the audiences throughout

another movie though that should have ended earlier.

Anthony Mackie and Wahlberg had more of the leading role than rock but rock as a coke head jesus freak was the best

I'm flying down to Vegas tomorrow, any movies I should add to my iPad?

Thinking about throwing on the Amazing Spider-Man and Toy Story 3. Might add Moon to the mix.

I finally started the newest season of Mad Men a few days ago. I'm loving it so far.

To me it started off pretty good then it got stupid towards the end. Overall it was entertaining, nothing more.
