Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Again, what's the Americans replacing? Keri over Connie is the one that makes the most sense, but a that's about it.

And The Wire getting snubbed is a travesty directly related to race, Dexter just isn't as good of a show :lol stop comparing them :lol

Not one episode of The American's could get a nom?

Keri absolutely could/should have.

None of the writing for the show?

I don't mean to compare Dex and Wire, I just meant the emmy picker people suck is all. :lol

Go see The Conjuring tonight. I'm freakin tired of waiting for people to see it so I can start getting pissed off at the complaints that will probably follow.

"the ladies shirt was too clean for the 70's"
"how did the car get to the house?"

**** like that. Like how they nitpick Supes nowadays. :lol :{

But what is it replacing? That's what I keep stressing. It's really easy to say "X should be nominated", but what are you taking out?

Breaking Bad was on fire last season, that's not being touched. Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Homeland... three huge shows that are very unlikely to be beat out by a rookie FX show. Mad Men didn't get nominated for writing or directing either.. that's more surprising than Americans or Dexter.

All nominations and awards come with the asterisk of politics being a factor, voters primarily being older, white men, and all the other issues we know about awards. So it's never been an accurate reflection of the quality of shows just because a select group didn't vote for something.

Having said that, if Hamm doesn't win now or next year I'll be so bummed :lol

orange is the new black is ok. its like a television network version of oz except with females and tittays

and more of a comedy

Looking at the list again I'm more bummed Boardwalk Empire didn't get any noms. Hopefully this next season brings them back.

Don't think Hamm has a chance this year. I know a lot of you didn't watch House of Cards on netflix but Kevin Spacey made Frank Underwood a real character. It's like a prime Walt/Heisenberg with less flaws being ambitious, same ego pursuing his goals. It's ******g great.

This was funny commercial for Cars.com where James Van Der Beek spoof's his Varsity Blues role...

Potentially watching Only God Forgives from the comfort of my couch tonight? Minus whale.

I have high hopes for Boardwalk off the trailer they've been showing on HBO.

And yeah, I'd say Spacey takes it for Lead Actor.
