DJ mustard posted on his Instagram a remix of only one he was dropping today. He has since removed it tho.

Not really surprised since he was on IDFWU ....

This is IMO one of Kanyes best interviews... he should have started and ended  them here.

from the Cant Tell me nothing mixtape -

3 minutes. short and sweet gets his point across

Kanye showed up at iHeart Media's (formerly known as Clear Channel) Music Summit in LA yesterday.

Apparently talked for an hour and performed "Only One" acoustic as part of Def Jam's presentation.

I think they might give that record a push.

Actually, there's going to be a new single with Rihanna coming soon.

From HITS....

Nothing, however, prepared the room for what happened at 10am, when Steve Bartels bought out Kanye West to say a “few words” and play some new music. West, clearly in a good mood, began by recounting his career path, from making beats for Jay Z to being part of Def Poetry Jam to getting booed on stage for wearing a Roc-a-Fella necklace, because in his words “Unless you’d killed four people you couldn’t rap.” He told a story about going to jail for stealing a maxi-cassette single, because he “needed the information” on it.

He spoke of himself as a “contradiction”, that it was his “responsibility to innovate” and “Things are going good so far, so I have risk being Kanye—I’m the best ************ at innovation.” “Sometimes innovation means you have to move on; sometimes I don’t like where I’ve moved on to…like not being on the radio.” He then said he needed to retract a prior statement he made when the Yeezus record came out about not caring about being on the radio: “It was a joke! You weren’t supposed to take it seriously—I want to be on the radio!” He told candid stories about past interactions with record execs, producers, his managers and working with Sir Paul McCartney. He swore he asked Sir Paul “What was ***** like in the ’60s?” In between tales, he would sing or rap a verse or a chorus of a song and even sang “Only One” a cappella.

This went on for almost an hour.

West finally played a new song featuring Rihanna that he said he’s about to release, pulled the plug on his laptop and walked off stage to a standing ovation. During the break, there were some mixed reactions to what happened, not to mention the fact that his stream-of-consciousness monologue put the day an hour behind schedule. But that said, no one could deny that it was clearly a moment.

It seems like "Only One" is already getting the push, I heard it yesterday on the radio. I was about to get out the car so idk for sure but I believe it was in the rotation and not a mix session.

As far as the Rihanna track I'll believe it when I see it. According to him All Day was the first single and was supposed to drop months ago :{

For some reason Niketalk mobile won't let me copy and paste but check out the article on Billboard about it. It quotes the speech and how he talks about innovation and owes a duty not to always repeat things he's done in the past. I.e. Stepping away from soul beats when at the time he started doing them gangster rap was prevalent

This morning I woke up an optimist lol.

Really cool song. Ye surprises me again.

So this is a Rihanna song? Or a Ye song?

I'm neutral on how I feel about it. Not really what I wanted, but it's not bad. I can't form a conclusion for a few listens.

Sounds like a song Pink would make though...
