Most of the top nations of the CONCACAF region including Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States will be competing in next year's Copa Oro. It is not a CONMEBOL competition...The Copa America Centenario in 2016 is the CONMEBOL competition. Since it is the 100 year anniversary of the Copa America, it will be the 10 CONMEBOL nations with 6 CONCACAF nations including the USA and Mexico who are already going to be in it. The US has also been chosen as the host of the Copa America Centenario in 2016.I wonder who conmebol is inviting for next years copa oro? Mexico and Costa rica?
Yup. It looks like RFK Stadium and MetLife Stadium are being considered as venues so you're in luck!Wait, we hosting in 2016?
Hopefully they come up to the north east.
Donavan is sitting back like
Why? We were better off without him.
Isnt that what killed us this WC?

I'm not sure what games/teams you've been watching. Defending have been fine. U21 USMNT side & under have decent talent defensively too.
What the US really needs to develop are creative midfielders. We're way behind other countries in that regard.
When you look at the MLS & the US game in general, our midfielders are glorified defenders or forwards.
Games at WC, CL, and/or top Euro leagues are won in the midfield. Being able to hold possesion & create are critical. Midfielders control the ebb & flow of the game.
Donovan has no reason to be pumped for being left off

What's easier to develop though? These defenders got eaten alive 1 on 1. The only reason they did not look as bad as Japan or Korea is because of Howard. Today could have easily been 6-0 in favor of Belgium.
