**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

tough to lose that one. especially after coming out so strong.

i like what ive seen from shea. i don't follow fc dallas so i don't see him a whole lot. but good stuff. torres played well overall i think. i don't really like edu much. and as far as jozie...been telling my friend for the last couple years that this kid just is not a killer when it comes to burying the ball.

oh well...on to the next one

I usually get on Jozy, but if it wasnt for rogers being scared to pass the ball he could of had a couple of 1 on 1 with the keeper.

i dont want to believe it and my mind cant handle this but is Landon on the decline?..aside from the mexico friendly, when was the last time he had a good game..last night all his set pieces were straight %*%!, not one of them got past the first defenders feet...the only thing he did last night was miss that shot, aside from that, what else did he do?..i might bee looking too much into it but damn....

even though he looks like a douche, more Klejstan please?

Personally I thought Jozy was very good last night in a number of areas both on and off the ball.

Torres did what many have known he's been capable of for a few years. Some say he's too small and tame defensively to bang in the middle against international competition but I don't see it. I see him and Holden paired up causing havoc. Brought a smile to my face when I remembered he's only 23.

Edu played his role very well. He'll never be Sergio Busquets back there but he looked more and more comfortable as the game went on and his positioning was on point. It will be interesting to see him, Jones, and Mikey compete for that spot, Mikey being the odd man out as he's not a DM but the box to box role from the Bradley era is gone and I don't see him fitting into any of the more attacking central mid positions under Klinsman.

A grown up Brek Shea and a legitimate attacking threat on the opposite wing (Gyau, Gatt,

) will do wonders for our attack. Rogers doesn't cut it, until somone else steps up I wouldn't mind giving Agudelo a run out there if we stick with the 4-3-3 from the first half.

Glad I decided to blow off work to come home for this one. Anybody else with me?

Feel bad for those who set their DVR for ESPN, as the game has now been pushed over to ESPN2 for !#@%%%@ NASCAR. ESPN still treats the USMNT games like !$$$, as the last two were preempted for little league baseball and tennis.

Dolo, Goodson, and Deuce in for Castillo, Orozco Fiscal, and Donovan. Let's go, boys.

ive seen better sunday league players than rogers..

hes a blackhole on offense and doesnt track back and pick up runs on defense..smh..no more rogers...Klejstan for rogers, please..

That's Klinsmann's boy. He's the new Bornstein.

We nees Shea to stay wide. Chandler getting forward would help too.

Agudelo reallllly has a nose for the goal, he's always super aggressive out there.

Everyone else out there either gassed, or timid as @++%

EVEN GAME. We played better in the second half. Belgium packed it in after the goal. Timmy should have made that stop though. Some positives, still cant be losing these games.

More posession, still no creation.

I ran back the Edu non-goal for a solid 10 minutes there. Still think that call had to be BS.

Defense was better than the game vs. Costa Rica. Passing was better but nothing happening up top. Brek Shea played well, dude was hustling even though he looked exhausted. Torres has been looking good also.

Overall, there's some positives but still have a lot of work to do.

Guys I really believe Freddy Adu needs to get some burn.. He's has the ball skills, possession, and is a great playmaker with vision. Kid needs some chance to get his feet wet and the little bit of times I saw him play for team USA he looked to be really promising.
