This is the lineup I want to see. I think Wondo will come up big for us if given the chance and he's a real threat on set pieces and poaching goals. My concern with him is he'll be too slow on counterattacks and won't have the ability to take on a defender 1v1 and create space for a shot/pass.
If we see Julian Green at this WC it'll be at the end of this game. He has to be JK's secret weapon right? His speed and ability to draw fouls could be huge for us at the end of an exhausting game in Manuas. I guess he can also play vs Germany should we both qualify
I wish Chandler was more reliable on D. We'd be able to move Fabian Johnson up to RM where he's excelled at the club and Nat level and boost our attack. I'm sure that's where he'll end up in the long run, but not at this WC.
The name of the game vs Portugal will be possession. We have to let the ball do the work and frustrate the desperate Portuguese team. if we can hit them early with a goal we might be able to get in their heads and give em the knock out punch. If they come out firing and the game is still 0-0 after 30 minutes, then I can see us winning the game. If they score early pepper your Angus's. Our fitness will definitely come into play in the second half and I think we should have the edge there.
Torn on the result I want for Germany-Ghana. On one hand I want Germany to win so we don't face a fully motivated team that needs a win against us to stay alive. On the other, if we beat Portugal and Germany tie or lose, we'd have a real good shot at first place with a tie vs them BUT we'd also have a higher chance at elimination even with 6 pts!

I seriously think this Portugal game is a must win. There are too many wild cards on the last match day that could go wrong and this group could still live up to its name of the Group of Death. Of course we'll have a good idea on where we stand at 2 pm tomorrow. The wait is killing me.
As I finished typing this Yahoo put up an article on the Gha-Ger game implications for the US.
