I only watched like 5 mins this morning then shh came up and f’d up my free time

and I’m down with Avon but f stringer.. Avon and slim were the only dealers I got down with

What I like about Marlo is he's a piece of #### as a human but he doesn't care about it, the scene in which he stole lollipops, seriously ?
It was purely cruel towards the vigil...Also I don't know how would last a Marlo in real life, because no one likes tyrants, and among people who doesn't like them some crazy people too...
Omar, at least, wasn't a bad person with "normal" people, just towards thugs
I might need to rewatch the show because I think I missed why people loves Avon so much...
Stringer is a piece of #### too, but like Marlo actors made them way more than that so we're finishing enjoying real ########
I think one of my favorite characters of the entire show was Nick from season 2, from what I remember he was trying to do things nice plus he has to deal with Ziggy as it's his cousin, so good luck
Bubbles is a nice too, quite neutral at first, not a cop, not a thug, but then thugs attacked his friend and his need of vengeance is quite understandable...
Bubbles and Omar are quite similar on this point : they don't really care (or really don't care for Omar  ) about thugs and cops, they're just doing their thing, not positioning themselves so not creating barriers.
I don't remember everything about the show but clearly season 1 was great for cops against drug dealers, 2 for dock workers and 4 for youngsters.
Namond was a character I quite hated at first but his evolution is interesting, he succeed to escape to familial conditioning.
Bodie let met quite the same impression than the character J.D. Williams played in Oz. Which means enough respected by a lot which conferred him a certain power BUT never enough respected by the most dangerous ones ( Adebisi in Oz / Marlo in The Wire ). There to support his team but without the gratitude he deserved.
Snoop was cool but I don't even know if we could say that because it not seems the character is cool but the actress is ( from interviews I saw she's quite similar )...

i really wish we saw avon with slim charles... and no string

also wish we saw chris with someone other than marlo

Tried watching a few years ago and stopped early in the boat season…

rewatched recently and that might be my favorite season now, wish they continued having a character at the port…

They should do a Avon and Stringer prequel show/movie…show McNulty/Colvin past, Omar come up, etc. if Scorsese can do the CGI **** wit Irishman…

This the closest you're gonna get to prequels.

Would cost too much for a show like this.

I watched Wire for the first time this year.

I worked near and would go into B More. Definitely look at it differently now. Inner Harbor the only sanitized unless you go north or down into PG.

I liked season 2. To me it was the only one with real stakes. And with the most detective work.

The other season seem to be more focused on characters or specific themes (Amsterdam, Children’s lost innocence, the pursuit of truth, the folly of politics).

Szn 2 love 🔥

I memba when I was doing my initial watch of The Wire.

When season 2 started and I saw the drastic shift with Sobotka and 'em I was like:

Continued the season, did a full 180 on IT and was like:

Then after I finished season 5 and realized how pivotal season 2 was in shaping the rest of the series:

Now after rewatching the series a couple of times, I reflect on my initial impressions of season 2 looking at myself like.
