OFFICIAL THE WIRE THREAD.. ''The game is the game"

Not sure if anyone saw this story out of the UK, but all I could think of was season 2.

'Global ring' involved in smuggling 39 found dead in UK truck, court told
CHELMSFORD, England (Reuters) - A court heard on Monday that a global ring had been involved in smuggling the 39 people whose bodies were found in a truck near London, as the driver faced charges of manslaughter and people-trafficking.

All 5 seasons are on Prime video for anyone without HBO. I need to do a full series rewatch and pay special attention to season 2. I'm sure it's better the second time around.

How did Omar know Stinkum and Wee Bey were going to take out Scar when he came out the alley and killed Stinkum? I know he found out about Avon owning Orlando’s by looking at the police board, but how would he know about the Barksdales trying to take over that corner?

I don't think it was mentioned explicitly if Omar knew that Stinkum and Bey were about to take that corner. I think we're to assume he was simply tracking the two and had an opportunity to take them out when they got out of their car to approach Scar.

Yo i swear i had the tv on cnn yesterday and one of those jokers quoted Omar when speaking about the trump verdict

You come for the king, you better not miss

Never get over how wild Weebay babymother was.

Bubs never carried a knife or nothing for dude that kept robbing him then when he tried to kill him with the rat poison it accidentally killed the kid his was with

Herc was really a terrible cop. Kept getting outsmarted by corner boys.

I'm in the middle of a rewatch and am on season 4 and yeah she's foul. Just watched the episode where she slapped him for not wanting to lay hands on Kenard for snatching the package.

In the scene where he's talking with the old heads about what to do about the dude who keeps running up on him, one of them suggests he hit him over the head with a brick and Bubs says "that ain't me." So I'm not surprised he doesn't carry a blade. The poison is a way of distancing himself from the violence. He wouldn't even be around when the dude fires it up and croaks.

Crazy what a twist of fate it was for Namond to have the happiest ending out of the 4 kids. Several external forces had to work in his favor. Beginning of the season he's clearly the biggest a-hole and has a super grim outlook for himself. He's basically content knowing he'll be a lifer on the corner and convinced he'll die prematurely.

Then the scale tips in his favor beginning with being sent to the basement and having a chance encounter with Bunny.

Namond was one of them fake tough kids. The loud one, always picking on the weakest kid. Michael did him a favor when he slapped him around, it woke him up. Michael was the more calm one. Knew how to read people and situations. He was almost calculated. Never got in trouble in class, never went off on the teachers or other kids. They would never expect him to be in that life.

Yeah we saw it early on, even from episode 1 when Namond hid in the bushes from the terrace boys while Mike was getting bopped up.

"Him? From Wee-Bey?" -Poot
"She expect me to be my father. But I ain't him." -Namond
"Same blood, not the same heart." -Cutty

Namond is a classic case in the hood.

So many young boys out there who could be anything they want but fall into the cycle of dad dead or in jail and left with the streets to raise him.

He was a kid who was never bout that life.

Glad he got a must needed second chance most of his kind don't.

My favorite character changes all the time, that’s what makes the show so great for me.

Clay going off on Burrell
