***** Official The Game Thread*****[Final Album "Westside Story'' TBA]

How's it unfair to count streams now when comparing? The majority of music is consumed that way these days, of course it should count. Even when comparing OLD album sales. Artists actually get the short end of the stick from streams via sales and compensation.

Apple Music and TIDAL didn't exist when Jesus Piece and RED came out.

Apple Music and Tidal aren't the only streaming services bruh

People have been streaming for years.

RED and Jesus Piece were 2011 and 12...still in the streaming era.

Real talk though. Streaming services has killed cd sales. For crying out loud Drake only Plat album this year. How crazy is that? Think about it. ONLY 1 Plat album. Apple Music, tidal and Spotify is the way to go for most people.

Came to post this! Streams is the trend nowadays. Streams didn't even count 5 years ago cuz not even a quarter of the ppl that stream did back then

You have trouble reading I see. I stated 2 of the 3 biggest music streaming programs (Apple & TIDAL) didn't exist when his last 2 albums came out.

If you had to guess, what do you think made them start counting Streams in 2015?

What made Apple, the biggest seller of digital music get a streaming service?

The largest consumption of physical music is via vinyl.

First of all, the bold is absolutely false.

No doubt more people stream now than every before, but that doesn't negate the fact that people have been streaming for years.  So people were still streaming music from his last 2 albums, so like I said, not really fair to compare albums vs album + streams when you don't know the streaming numbers for his previous 2.

And Tidal is not a top 3 streaming service.

Bring something else to the discussion besides slurping Game.

You're correct about TIDAL. Pardon me. That service sucks anyway.

No one said people weren't streaming years ago.

You can research the vinyl statement. Vinyl is the ONLY growing form of physical music consumption of the past 5 years.

If that's the way they count music sales how's it unfair in this case? If anything artist aren't given the proper credit. It's the same people, Nielsen takin the #s.

Soundscan started in the early 90s before they just counted shipments.

First off this is a game thread, second we were discussing sales so what does that have to do with my statement where there was no mention of game idiot

Third ur really trying to convince us that streams in 2010 is the same as now...good luck trying that to anyone with half a brain

Because if they counted streams before, his numbers would be higher than they sit currently.  Not unfair to count it like that, unfair to compare two separate things.

And yes vinyl is growing, but CDs are still consumed more...even though they're dropped considerably.

So one must slurp in a Game thread?

You're like that kid in the corner chiming in with nothing to contribute.

Yes people streamed before, not at the same number, but they streamed.  Did I say it was the same?  Read pleighboi.  Like I said in my previous post, his numbers would be higher if they counted streams on his last two albums.

[emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]... So what songs y'all think would do well as singles

If ppl streaming in 07 was the same as it is today then I can't help u. Go ahead and add the 375 streams to the older albums like it would make a diff. Half these kids today don't even know what a disc is, all they do is stream

El chapo needs a video imo

First 2010, then 2007.  You keep moving the goal posts.

Thought we were talking about his last 2 albums?  2011 and 12.

2.5 is averaging an 88 on Metacritic.

I think that's the 2nd highest of any hip-hop release this year.

(Let it be noted it only based on 4 reviews)
