Apparently the popular artists I get all this info from don't know either.

TBH - Is not about being macho - if it was a male or female - I would feel the same way ....

For me it's the appealing factor - Just like having a Phoenix placed close to the lower ab region - Its like a flaming vagina is coming at you .. NAW I'm good!

:lol

That was hyperbole. Wasn't meant to be taken 100% serious. I can see how people would be uncomfortable with it.

What are you saying though? You're saying talented artists wouldn't tattoo a guy near the butt region because of homophobia?

^It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Just the first reason I could come up with concerning why a lot of artist wouldnt touch that part. No denying there is a lot of senseless homophobia.

Also you from Chicago as well. Who do you go to?

But what made you go to the conclusion that artists dont tattoo that area? Have you literally gone to several artists asking them if they tattoo cheeks? I highly doubt that.

Not several. Just two. Neither time did I ask the question so I guess you can say 0. Once, years ago, I was waiting to ask something and heard the conversation for the guy ahead of me. The girl he went to see said "I don't tattoo that area and if I did I would charge an arm and a leg". Two weeks ago I was sitting in the chair someone asked one of the artist and he said no. But I had the feeling that if dude who wanted the tat was a girl he would do so it so I chuckled.

No I dont know the names of either artist, they were not the ones I came to see.

What's everyone's thoughts on trash polka style?

I love it, but there's really only one place in the world that can do them properly

Ask your artists recommendation after the session when they address after care.

My artist would just tell me to leave it wrapped through the first night then to wash it twice a day with antibacterial soap and just let it dry heal until the fourth day.  I know my skin would not fair well if it stayed wrapped any longer than that.
Agreed.  I left min wrapped through the night and showered as soon as I woke up.  My artist recommended hot water as hot as you could take it a couple of times a day, then aquaphor.  I actually used coconut oil and it healed awesome!!

I like em. would love to see how it would look on darker skin

Coconut oil is :smokin . I swear it cut days off of the initial healing/peeling stage and there was no scabbing at all for me.

YESSIRR!  Same here, very little scabbing and very little ink loss!

I just let it dry heal for the first 4 days this last time. Quickest recovery yet.

Never heard of coconut oil technique. Ill try it next appt.

^Scabbing is natural. Define "a lot". If the tattoo aint peelin off I don't see the problem.

Jaime Ames piece healing nicely. He works really well with dark skin. Still not a magazine tattoo but the work is dope. Way better than most, the best in the Chi I've encountered so far for us darkies.

Picasso Dular said he can do me up in Dec. when he returns to the Chi. I'll meet up with him first before I confirm for sure if I wanna see him.
