OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET AND ECONOMY THREAD VOL. A NEW CHAPTER

Well this may finally be the beginning of the end of the bull market. The charts have been signaling distribution for some time. I didn't have the balls to hold anything through Election Day smh. I didn't really think trump had a chance to win it

Bloodbath tomorrow like post-Brexit

But it'll normalize in time -- there's gonna be blood in the water and we hungry

Markets opened up after all this fear-mongering and shook-ness

Baby boomers ****** America

I thought so too until I read that 40% of millennials voted for Trump. I don't get what the young'ns see in this guy. I live in liberal California so my views may be skewed, but really what's the rationale for those in the red states who voted for Trump?

On the positive side, bios are way up and I've got a lot of dough in it. Also sold NFLX puts that finally turned green today.

Yeah the markets acting real funny right now. I think everyone's confused and trying to wrap their heads around what a Trump presidency means for the economy. The Street essentially wrote Hilary in and priced the markets accordingly, now with this no one knows what to do. I really think it might start rising with the corporate benefits that come with a Republican majority. Biggest downside for me is that my TSLA stock is going to catch such an epic fade :(

Didn't know that god how dumb are people

I was hoping for even more of an overreaction.  A major sell off would have been ok, was looking to double down on some positions.  At the end of the day though, the election doesn't have much of an impact on the overall market.

How is it in the toilet?

Market's up today. I'm more surprised at gun companies doing badly.
What's going on in the market

A few states voted yes for some gun control laws. Might be a reason.
Gun control laws would have actually been good for gun companies, at least in the short term.  A Clinton election would have meant a push for gun control reform, out of fear ppl would have went and stocked up on guns and ammo.  That no longer is the case, so we saw a sell off in those companies.
