I never, quite honestly, understood this kind of logic.

I obviously don't know the makeup of your portfolio, but I'm sure the fundamentals of each stock in your basket is ok. The point is, all this red we are seeing, the fault is not with your basket, but rather with the broader market. Everyone is seeing red right now. If you pull out now, you're simply guaranteeing and making your losses absolute. Assuming you have cash reserves, why not average down instead? It's a whole heck of a lot more profitable in the long run, i would think, than the alternative you're considering. No?

I'm just saying, if you got protection, don't pull out. Get you some timbs for traction and ride this ferocious ***** 'til you on top, and she's tapping out.

I think if you have a very long term portfolio then a buy and hold strategy is okay. When the blood is on the streets and everyone is scared to buy then add to your core positions. I do think we are going much lower from here but a bounce is probable this week or next imo

Yeah that's the key. Pick good companies that will most likely be around long term eg DIS

i'm actually trying to buy more DIS while it's down this low, but need the cash to do so

fitbit and a few biotech stocks just bringing my portfolio way down
could be worse...linkedin :x

Well, just be careful with DIS. Reporting after bell today. Star Wars should be a nice boost, but who knows with ESPN.

Uh... They're entire model is based on people buying more of their expensive cameras. Only see them being a M&A candidate for a company who wants their tech

youll be lucky if it hits $20 without a M&A like dude above me said.

only way i see GPRO ever getting back to the $60's is with a new CEO.

Yikes...I've been looking for another stock to chase. Reckon I better reset my expectations.

finally started buying some stocks. As an international student i didnt think i could but i found out i could.
