Damn - someone in this thread mentioned retirement before the call. I found his return bizarre. I wonder what drove him to reconsider.

what a pos CLOWN !!!!

forreals , snd give those 2 dudes a tryout im bout to shoot em a text

I lost a ton of respect for Davis over this past year. He should have just stayed retired.

Peace out Anthony "the cowardly lion" Davis, you should have just stayed retiring instead of ******* the entire team over with your back and forth ********.

On the real though he probably watched the 49ers play Seattle yesterday and said to himself "no, nope, nuh-uh, I don't want NO part of that!"

I'm glad Trent Brown is turning out to be such a stud and all, but I don't think Blaine Gabbert could lead a team to a winning record if Thor, The Incredible Hulk, The Thing, and Superman were blocking for him.

So he didnt wanna put in the time. Glad hes off the niners.

Singletary said it best
" Cannot play with them, cannot win with them, cannot coach them,” Singletary said of players like Davis, adding that he would rather play with 10 men. “Can’t do it. I want winners. I want people that want to win.”

gabbert nor kap are the future, so you won't have to worry about them leading the team into the future.

i expect us to invest heavily into the quarterback position next off-season, so having a 23-year-old mountain on the right side protecting our young investment is imperative moving forward.

if the niners are 1-5 by the trading deadline, how would you guys feel about moving staley and bowman to contending teams? john middlekauf suggested this on periscope.

it would suck and wasn't something i've considered. dunno.

i would probably entertain moving staley, but probably not bow. staley is in the twilight of his career. he probably has 3 good seasons left max. depends on what you get in return, but you could start moving trent to left tackle immediately. right tackle is a lot easier to replace than left tackle.

joe deserves a legit shot at a ring. dude has been a consummate pro from day 1.

man, i LOVE the way hue jack city is using terelle pryor in cleveland as a weapon on multiple facets. he's completely resurrected his career.

i'm still curious what exactly went wrong in that interview. by all accounts, hue was their man, and hue wanted badly to come here.

Man, who knows lol.

I wouldn't want to see the Niners trade away either Staley or Bowman. Those are the staples of the franchise, IMO.

Why can't this organization find a capable QB who is willing to throw down field and move the ball? We haven't had that since Jeff Garcia.

I finally saw the highlights from the Eagles game...My goodness I wish we picked up Wentz.

i think ive traded for Jimmy every year the past 3 years in Madden while being the Niners haha. Id love to see him in a Niners jersey

it all depends on where we draft. if we end up in a position grab kizer, i am okay with that.

however, it's more likely we end up just outside the top 5, in which case we have to trade for jimmy G.

microcosm of our defense on this play. it looks like cover 1, but it also looks like the niners are playing cover 0 w/ spy underneath. it's all ****** up. there's obviously a ton of confusion regarding their assignments. the result is busted coverages everywhere on the backside of the play. this is 100% on the defensive coordinator.

2 guys end up uncovered on the bottom half of the screen.

this was the first TD of the game on that long run by c. mike.

The Seahawks are running a simple OUTSIDE ZONE OUT OF OFFSET i-FORMATION to the BACKSIDE of the play

the niners are playing a one-gap bear type front. everyone in the box accounts for one gap.

mike purcell is out of position; he's not supposed to be directly over the center, he's supposed to be in the WEAK A GAP(between center and guard).

Since mike purcell is directly over their center, their RIGHT GUARD(or front side guard) can reach him as the play flows and CUT BLOCK him. He gets completely eliminated, and this results in their LEFT GUARD and CENTER(backside O-line) to freely get to our linebackers. Buckner also has to do a better job of forcing the play inside and standing up that left tackle.

THE RESULT IS DISASTER.
