Was checking out the OG SpeedCat on their site and decided to do a search for any shoes in the Petronas, Ferrari & BMW line. Saw these for $55 at the time. With shipping, $63. Couldn't pull the trigger but I Google searched them. Low and behold, they were on eBay, on Puma's official page for $45.99 shipped! YES PLEASE!

An actual pair or mid cut driving shoes. BMW M Motorsport. And actually comfortable with a nice spacious toe box. Used them this past weekend for driving my car. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE! Still gotta break them in some more but for $46, worth every penny.

Oh, and they went up in price on Puma.com to $72. But still $45.99 on eBay. Crazy.

This pair came in and was a half size too big so I returned and ordered half down. Then I went on vacation before I got them so I won’t be on court until next week.

My older brother ignited my love for sneakers. He was way older than me but the memories of him customizing suede Pumas and shell toe Adidas are a part of my childhood. Love the suedes to this day. I got pairs of hi top shelltoes too, but that's for another thread.

Not really a good driving shoe. The thick sole has no pedal feel. I learned to drive in these and it seems they recently brought them back

Should have explained it better. This is what happens when you post after coming out of the hospital having emergency surgery (Crohn's Disease related) I have several pairs of older Replicats, that I use (they are NARROW, and I have normal to slightly narrow feet) and I also have two pairs of actual Piloti driving shoes (had an original pair before they went away & got new pairs of the new company ).

I should have said was to wear once I get to where I'm going, which is Cars & Coffee. Actually driving shoes are NOT comfortable walking around as there is nothing under them. My Piloti Prototipo is a great driving shoe, but after standing around Cars & Coffee chatting with friends for a but my feet were getting sore. I'd bring these with me to change into AFTER putting in a better cushioned insole. But yes, totally agree. Very flat. But I have lots of friends who have some NICE cars (Porsche, BMW Ms, etc) and lots of them wear Vans & Chucks and love them.

As someone who tests cars on roads and tracks as part of my job, I don’t agree at all. Suedes have been a go-to driving shoe for me for years, along with Dunks and lately SB Vertebraes. You don’t need pure race boots/shoes on road cars. I would never describe Suedes as being thick-soled, but I guess if you’re used to using pure racing shoes, sure. I drive my 987 Cayman S with them and they have plenty of feel—and that car has a touchy clutch pedal compared to the newer cars. Suedes work perfectly for me.

I can’t even use real race shoes in that car or practically any road car with a manual gearbox. Even in my size 11, they’re all too narrow for being able to throttle blip on heel-toe downshifts. I tried my Alpinestars race shoes once. My foot doesn’t even catch the throttle pedal on the blip attempt because they’re too narrow for how much distance there is between the brake and gas pedals LOL
