You can't make this stuff up man  :smh:

Basically saying the quiet part out loud that folks have assumed for years, the ICC is only allowed to go after small European, African, Middle Eastern and Asian countries...

Never rich and powerful nations, international law doesn't apply to them

45 displaying all the subtlety of a semi truck horn scheduling that Juneteenth speech written by Stephen Miller to be in Tulsa, there's no hidden meaning or anything to that.

It's meant to be a clear message from the Grand Exalted Cyclops in Chief...

Papa Drumpf would be proud

I’m sure that “8% of the black vote” will love this

Some folks are just selfish money grubbing pigs and have no integrity man so they'll keep sucking off a racist for tiny gains. They'll excuse away obvious dog whistles that any black person in America can sense a mile away.

1. I see no issue with it being published as an op-ed.

2. If he was forced out for the op-ed, that is unwarranted.

3. I think that op-eds are fine from either side of the aisle. As long as it’s clear who the author is, it is actually a disservice to silence one side/viewpoint.
Agreed on all points. Cotton's op-ed sounds like something straight out of an authoritarian dictatorship but at the end of the day I don't see any reason to not publish it. Some people who might not know much abbout Cotton will have a pretty good idea of the kind of guy he is after reading that op-ed.

As expected, the guy House Republicans invited to testify (Dan Bongino) at yesterday's police reform hearing spent the entire hearing ignoring police brutality, arguing against any kind of reform and denying any systemic issue within police. He expressed his sympathy to George Floyd's brother in his opening statement and then proceeded to use the rest of his time to cape for the police.
When Rep. Heffries brought up that black lives matter during a discussion on racial disparities in police violence, Bongino responded with "all lives matter."

One of the other GOP witnesses, a black pastor and former Trump Tranisition member, largely absolved the police of systemic issues as well but at least argued in favor of some reforms.

Where are you getting that the Juneteenth speech will be written by Stephen Miller?

The news room could have published an article summarizing Cotton's points, a Op-Ed was not mandatory

You seem to be brushing aside the part where the editor didn't go through the normal procedure at the paper to publish this piece, to the point hundreds of staff got pissed off about it. Him publishing the op-ed alone was not why he was forced out.

These incidents are real, no doubt.

I do not recall Trump supporting what happened to George Floyd. In fact, he stated the opposite.

I’ve stated my disagreement as it relates to the Central Park 5.

Obviously Trump is far from a perfect candidate. I’m not denying that.

But since you appear to be a student of history, what say you to people who vote to support the candidate (Joe Biden) who Corey Booker has referred to as an architect of modern mass incarceration?

Trump calls George Floyd's death a "terrible thing"

Also, Trump asked the DOJ to investigate the murder of George Floyd.

Were you unaware of that?
