i applaud the drive to want to make it on your own. i think most if not all of us strive for that. but if we're being honest with ourselves we know that we got help and we got lucky at some point. things break the wrong way and life would be a mess. so most of us are ok with some sort of government system that keeps some balance. most if not all governments and societies think the same way. the degree of assistance is of course different in different societies and between the different political parties.
