Gets me through the day when white people all around me are being crazy, which is always.

You have to understand, when we wholeheartedly laugh of Dave Chappell's jokes about his crazy white friend Chip. We laugh, because we are Chip. There's also a little uncertainty in our laugh, because it's peculiar, why Dave's so amazed with the **** we get away with. We're also a little concerned, because we don't fully understand, if Dave is joking or not about being afraid of the police, because surly they're only here to serve and protect us... I mean... right?

Weed is illegal here for all purposes but I still have yet to encounter a single doctor objecting against marijuana use. Zero. And with my illness I’ve met more doctors than I can count.

One of them even bluntly asked me about my experience with weed for chronic pain as she was considering buying some for her granddad who apparently had cancer.

It was a group of renowned specialists who actually convinced my mom to let me use cannabis in the first place. They even got her to agree with daily use a bit before bedtime to sleep with less pain.

My girl didn't get it. She had never heard the concept of white supremacy before me. I had explained things but she hadn't grasped it fully. And then we got pulled over and the cop got her out of the car and asked her a bunch of questions about me.

I told her before to refuse any searches. Once she got back in the car he asked and she said he needed a warrant. We got pulled over because I "threw a projectile from the window and hit the windshield" and we were leaving an area known for drug sales. She wondered why he was so curious about me, and why he asked her if I had drugs or weapons instead of asking me.

She wondered why my head was on a swivel if there were a lot of white people around when we were out together.

She wondered why it seemed like black people held a grudge against the white system. Then her dad called me a ******. Then other family members did too. Not to my face, they're terrified of me. But they know that I know. She's essentially abandoned her family for their views and other reasons, because she started to understand. She cried the entire night last time she heard that word referencing me because she didn't understand why that hate exists.

She's read The Isis Papers. She's watched documentaries and YouTube clips with me and on her own. We've done the research, had the talks. She gets it now. She rejects white power, supremacy, and the institution. She understands she benefits in ways and hates it. She understands why I carry. When we talked about kids and I expressed the fear I have for having a son in this system, the look on her face when she connected the dots was excruciating.

The more white people experience these things firsthand with a black person that they care about, or love, they will get it.

Whenever Trump mentions a particular election, he will always cast the Democrat as “bad on crime.”

There is something odious but also funny about him claiming that a black politician, more specifically a black mayor, is somehow pro crime.

Like does the donald’s fever dreams have Andrew Gillum stepping out of city hall, robbing a car, running over people all with siren icons floating at the top of the screen but because Andrew defunded police in his city, he can slip the circle on the map and then casually rob a bank and cap off the day with hookers, whom he then murders rather than pay?

- Someone at this age (and ppl in general who are in lesser convenient situations) should be more accommodated to vote without difficult obstacles (transportation, pre paid mail in ballots)

- Don't let Mama Minnie down by not voting for candidates that can help combat the fight against the disenfranchised, we need to be carrying our elders weight

Seeing these two things brought great joy to my eyes first thing this morning. It's so important for US as a community to be more involved and support those that support our agenda. Not to mention it is imperative that we keep pressing forward to continue the gains those before us have made. That's why everyone should be inspired by the story of Mama Minnie.
