It's 100% a nazi salute. The hard arm motion and flat hand position, TWICE, removes any benefit of the doubt. There's been enough side-by-side videos. Elon practiced that ****. He was all too enthusiastic to throw that up.

And the clenched lips+audible grunt+speed of motion. He meant it and knew what he was doing.

If Joe Rogan is powerful enough that he cam push Norwegian teenagers to the right. That makes it even more insane that more people don't engage with him.

I think a more likely explanation is the trends that have pushed young men right in basically every developed nation are broader than just Joe.

The people holding the mics are the curators to these kids reality and they are in lock and step with the admin.

I just think you all have the causality backwards.

These dudes moved to the right because of the same cultural trend moving young men to the right in general. They aren't creating right wing men out of thin air.


Like this is a global phenomenon. Acting like this caused by a handful of podcasters imo doesn't make sense.

Joe Rogan or any of the absolute top English language podcasts are generally well known in any country where learning being able to speak or at least understand English is the norm.
American culture and entertainment is very popular throughout Europe. It helps of course that English is an extremely easy language and most European countries mandate learning it in school.

Also nobody is saying podcasters or any of these right wing pundits are the sole reason for the influence on young boys. They're just a big influence. Kids are easily impressionable.

WW2 was obviously a big part of history class over here so I can see some arguments here that he's not doing 'proper form' of the Sieg Heil salute.
The more common one is to just raise your arm up diagonally with your hand in perfect line.
The military or formal version is what Elon appears to be doing here. Starting from the shoulder area is ideal, though I would say his form for the arm raising motion isn't very good.

The key to me here is the position of his hand during the raise. Another key part of the hitler salute is to initially raise your arm with a flat hand, aligned with your arm. Which is what he does here initially. The thumb should be separated and point outwards (while remaining aligned with the arm) but the other fingers should remain together.
Along with that, the most convincing part to me is his facial movements during the salute. That's entirely unrelated to the salute itself but it seems very odd to make those particular gestures.

Without taking in Elon's behavior in especially the past year, his support for the AfD in Germany, aspects of his background, ... then I would say it's highly likely intended to be a nazi salute but done with really bad form.

So I personally don't really doubt he tried to do a nazi salute there. If anything the awful form could be plausible deniability.
