***Official Political Discussion Thread***

My hope Americans aren’t as dumb/slow and/or THAT that racist/sexiest/homophobic/transphobic as they are seeming right now.. cause things going be painfully obvious real quick
They are. all of the above

Democrats just have to take advantage of the cycle of emotions that are at play. In the next 4 years, if the country is still a hell hole, then people will likely switch back over to vote for the other side. Only if we have a viable candidate.

At this rate that republicans are making things PAINFULLY obvious, should see results in 2 years

But sadly, don’t get cute, go find 2 white guys that are straight and clean enough on paper

I should’ve just wrote this like years ago :lol.

But osh kosh bosh osh kosh bosh . Any thoughts? Or is this still conspiracy, ho-hum
People made random, singular, seemingly left social media posters who didn't have a real picture out to be the worst thing in the world while this podcast cabal operated right in their face.

Couple points:

-I think liberals and Dems should go into these spaces to try to break up the follow of bad messaging as much as they can.

It is bad, real bad. You have to try to counter it even if it is a small amount

-I think this is a serious problem. Young men are trapped in a media environment that is actively working to turn them more conservative, more reactionary, and it is working.

All of my teacher friends complain about how super right wing the boys are at their school are. Not just normal problematic teenager ****. Like you will routinely here boys make sexual assault jokes, jokes about shooting people, all kinds of crazy ****. Locker room talk is being yelled in the hallways to get a reaction from girls. More concerning, a lot of time the offenders are usually Latino boys.

-There were people that claimed liberals and progressive worrying about folk like Tate exposing teenager boys to toxic **** was them overreacting and boys would grow out of it.

Welp, those boys that women and teachers were concerned about were able to vote this past election and they showed up to the polls MAGA as ****. Which presents a long term problem for society.

-There is some level of coordination going on, even if isn't centrally coordinated. The commentators want to be in the in group, to build their audience, so they can monetize them. More incentive to me more and more right.

It takes a lot less skill to gain traction on the left than the right. There are a ton of rich right wing billionaires ready to make people rich if they can gain an audience. Gain another big problem.

Things are bad and all signs point to them getting worse than better.

Boys and young men are struggling right now, bad.

Makes them easy marks for right wing entertainers to trick them into believing dumb ****.

Give them people to blame like women, liberals, etc. While they empty their pockets

I honestly think that it would help Dems and liberals if they start adopting some men focused identity politics and policies

I can't tell if this is serious or not.

A bunch of podcasters who are all in a demographic likely to support Trump...all supported Trump?

What is the conspiracy exactly?

Like what is the specific claim you are making? I'm totally unclear at this point.

If the claim is Peter Theil is secretly paying. Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Andrew Shultz all to support Trump.

Yes I think that's conspiracy nonesense.

If the claim is a bunch of male comedians have convertive political opinions and eventually ended supporting Trump?

Well sure I agree.

It isn't really just white dudes you see this with though

A dude like Dj Akademiks is right wing as hell. Tariq Nasheed is right wing too. Umar Johnson when he gets political mainly bashes Democrats.

So we have:

-Young black immigrant from the Caribbean that lives in the Northeast
-Rich black guy living in LA, that grew up in the deep south
-Black guy with a PhD.

All people you would expect to vote Dem at the ballot box. All feeding their audience anti-liberal stuff.

If Kevin Samuels was alive, I would bet money he would be a Trumper. :lol

The only problem when liberals and democrats try to do it, it gets labeled as pandering because they go to the typical black spaces like Breakfast club. We have other popular political personalities; they just don't seek them out or speak with them. They only go to rappers, actors and ball players.

It's clear the youth is under attack by the right.

Men/boys are struggling calling them nazis and incels isn’t really going to help. :lol

Shultz and charlamagne got that show together which is stupid af but at least they get healthy discourse from both sides.

A post of mine from early 2019, when folk we still tryna play the Rogan isn't political, he is a centrist card...

Roseanne got fired for calling a black woman "Planet of the Apes".

Rogan said Roseanne's words were racist. He tried to make excuses for her, but he conceded her words her racist...

So Rogan has acknowledged that using "planet of the apes" in reference to black people is racist. There is no debate to be had.

And anyone that claims a discussion about racism does not belong in a Joe Rogan thread is full of **** or doesn't listen to Rogan.

Rogan talks about race all the time. He complains about supposed racism toward white people. He makes excuses for cops shooting black people. He argues Muslims have an inferior culture. He has bigots on his show, and lets them spew nonsense. Before his fans could deny it and act like Joe just has some bad hot takes, even I didn't condemn him fully. Now, this pushes it over the edge. Joe Rogan is a racist, and his fanboys have to face it

**** him. I hope the mods delete this thread

I just think you all have the causality backwards.

These dudes moved to the right because of the same cultural trend moving young men to the right in general. They aren't creating right wing men out of thin air.

Like this is a global phenomenon. Acting like this caused by a handful of podcasters imo doesn't make sense.

Like is Joe Rogan big in Norway?
