The tragedy is not Trump lying. It's the GOP giving him cover and sanitizing his words.
It's mostly the fault of the media for going along with it without questioning the lies or calling them out.

The difference between individuals and the media is that protection of democracy requires journalists to tell the truth, even when it is hard/risky to tell.
I'd blame them less if they hadn't spent time scraping the bottom of a thesaurus to avoid calling out Trump and republicans' lies.

O they deserve every bit of blame once they thought being “fair and honest” was trying to equally equate things just to appear somehow impartial to any side
And all it did was create different standards for people applying/doing the same job
Trump still doesn’t get how something as simple as tariffs and duties work.. and yet Kamala’s laugh was supposed to be a legit issue

Also, people need to realize. CNN isn't "Left wing Media" at all anymore...it's sensationalist crap and they are about ratings. They KNEW a second Trump administration was going to be better for their ratings and bottom line. There was a reason they platformed him early on in his latest campaign. They don't care about red white or blue, they care about GREEN...and they will see more of that in the next four years than they would have with a Dem president.

I’ve said it before rich people regardless of race vote republican since you’ll never see it anyway. Not sure why people are surprised by celebrities performing at his events. They love their money. Yes, your favorite rich celebrity secretly voted for Trump.

I mean are the rating still down to ****? Last I heard MSNBC and CNN rating were crap, WAPO lost subscribers (myself included) and even the NYTimes wasn’t doing good. Basically nobody wants to watch this **** or engage with trump. Low-key it’s like a lot of people either love him or want to change the channel.

That was the reasoning some of them Capitol cops landed on that gave them permission to vote for trump. “He’s not going to pardon the ones that physically assaulted us, just the ones that were exercising their right to peacefully protest.” The same way some thought,
1. “trump won’t deport me, he’s talking about the bad immigrants”
2. “Trump won’t cut federal funding for us, he’s talking about in blue states”
3. “I know everyone says tariffs just increase the price of goods, but trump is working to lower prices.”

Many celebrities tend to lean left because most of them are in the performing arts (music, theatre, dance, drama, etc.). You know, entertainers.
The celebs who lean right are usually from reality television, athletes, and washouts whose careers tanked because they said or did something that didn't resonate with the general public.
They might have more money than most of us, but they still have to live in the same country and deal with the same ******** we do.

Last winter through summer, it was common for downtown Chicago’s main streets to be blocked off by massive protests against Israel’s bull @$&$ and our government.
The past few months have been dead silent with zero activity.
This is what those protestors abstained from voting/voted for Trump for though, right? All the bravery and harsh words that were directed at the Biden administration got used up already? Embarrassing.
