This has got to be satire.

Left behind from what exactly? Their privilege isn't taking them as far as it used to and they actually have to get by on their own merits and work ethic like everyone else. Ol woe is me. FOH.

As a young-ish millennial man (I'm 36) I genuinely do not understand the whole "young men are being left behind and forgotten" narrative. What opportunities do these young men not have?

I guess it doesn't matter what is actually happening, The only thing that matters is how they feel about what is happening

Neglecting the needs of men at the expense of proping up feminism was number 1 on my list. As evidence with the gender gap. And don't get me started on how badly they talked down to Black men during this election.

No I meant having all 3 branches for 20-22 and doing little with it.

Immigration was a big problem they totally ignored til a year ago.

Inflation and not properly explaining it.

Running Joe Biden unopposed in the primary.

Leadership supporting Israel blindly

Not hyping their infrastructure bill/ Chips Bill.

Not disavowing trans in restrooms and sports

Feminism shouldn’t really bother men.

American's really voted for a convicted felon racist and are giving him a 2nd shot to run this country. Just read that and let that sink in.

Really NT and American's you think we will be better off the next 4 years with him back in office.

Leopardsatemyface gonna have a lot content for the next 4 years. :{

💯💯💯

- Muslims are going to complain when Trump bombs Gaza into oblivion.
-Latinos who voted for Trump are going to be mad when their parents get deported
- Blue collar workers who voted for Trump are going to get screwed over when he continues deregulation.
- white women (who still voted for Trump in big numbers) are going to be mad when he gets even worse on reproductive rights.
- black men are going to complain when he continues with the racist rhetoric

But it is for this group of men. Now, you can simply dismiss them under the guise of misogyny, but it's much more intricate than that. And if the dems continue to ignore these young men, then it's almost a certainty that they won't win another presidential election for the foreseeable future. Labeling them with provocative titles does nothing to move the needle

the more i think about this result, the more i feel that Kamala was ****** from the start. A lot of this election hinged on inflation and this notion of people not being better off now than they were four years ago. Kamala couldn’t disentangle herself from Biden and the price gouging on store shelves that happened under his term. Average voter wasn’t going to be able to disconnect her from the fact that eggs cost 100-200% more than they did during trump.

Not saying that Kamala isn’t qualified or a bad candidate, but this is where biden stepping down far sooner and a primary might’ve helped. Dems would’ve been able find a candidate who could distance themselves from Biden’s administration
Nah. I think it’s clear that in this country, we need a charismatic man, preferably white in order to win the election. Democrats have 4 years to find that person. Logic and suitability do not matter. You need to whip up the fervor of the people

I honestly think this is one of the more ingenious things Trump has done, he represents an idea without actually embodying any of what that idea is supposed to be. He's a failed business man, liar, misogynist, racist, etc. But these supposed alpha males see him as someone who will defend their ideals and feed into their fear without actually ever doing anything for them.

That's the one thing I can try to take away a lot of **** he says he was going to do (the wall, economic ****) he didn't actually follow through on so maybe he doesn't do it again this time. But that fool Vance is actually as dangerous as opposed to Pence so we're ****** anyway.

Equality/more opportunity for the marginalized feels like oppression when looking at it from places of privilege.

When the whole world has been catered to your specific wants, concerns and needs for most of your life, it becomes a problem the minute the wants/concerns/needs of others start being taken into account as well when before it was never given much thought.

It's fascinating and indicative of the zero-sum game mentality at large that seems to be instilled in a giant portion of the country.

Boils down to the idea that the omnipresent 'other' can't ever achieve any material, or even symbolic, gains without me definitely losing something in return. Like it just can't compute that multiple parties can be beneficiaries at the same time in good faith because that's rarely been the case throughout the countries history.

It comes down to identity politics in a lot of instances, the country is getting more black and brown, queerer, and the wage and education gap continues to climb.

But that isn't necessarily as a result of policy or who's in office, a lot of these alpha males have just been able to get by because of their skin color or circumstances their born into but now actually have to compete to make it ahead and it's too hard for a lot of them.

I honestly can't wait to see the consternation if Agent Orange implements those tarrifs, them Southern and rural states especially going to be HURTING.

Going attack unions and employee friendly legislation.. then you going after the affordable care act/obamacare and social security.. and whatever happens with department of education

And lord knows if he actually follows through on that tariffs stupidity

Then you have the stupidity of whatever the people around him do like if RFKjr actually has say in stuff or whatever elon gets his hands on.. and then the podcast bros

Florida judge probably ends up as AG

The best case scenario is Trump has an awful first two years and everything goes to hell. Dems come in with a blue tidal wave in the mid terms and make Trump a lame duck for the rest of his presidency. Vance, like Harris with Biden, will be tied to Trump and get f'ed when he runs in 2028.

It's also just very interesting seeing a lot of these red states sans FL vote for abortion rights, raising minimum wages, and other progressive initiatives yet got Agent Orange at the top of the ballot.

The amount of cognitive dissonance is astounding.

I don’t know why but this feels worse than 2016.

Im shocked this country willfully went backwards to elect Donald Trump as president again. As a father to a little girl, I’m scared for the rights she will potentially lose. As a husband who wants 1 more child living in the state of florida, I’m strategizing on what state I want my child delivered in to ensure my wife gets the best healthcare possible. As a black man that does well for myself and living in a predominantly white neighborhood, I’m scared of the potential blanketed qualified immunity that Trump promises to enact to police officers. These results are scary and Trump and the Republican Party really capitalized on the uneducated voters and the fragility of fake masculinity that THEIR rights are being taken away.

Curiously enough, this is the most pervasive and in your face form of identity politics yet for some reason never called as such or browbeaten against like other versions of the same thing :lol >D

All the talking heads and folks constantly railing about idpol on the Dem side only to regularly vote based on the very same thing :lol. Dress it up whichever way you want, like class consciousness, that's what it still is at the end of the day
