No hatred in my heart for any one person; I just don’t agree with men “becoming” women and then getting to enjoy life as a women including competing with them. We can stop the back and forth. I don’t hate them even if I don’t agree with it.

I think any reasonable person would agree that trans women (formerly men) should be banned from competing against women. The hormone difference puts them at a gigantic advantage that is hardly different than doping.
On the other hand, biological men (formerly women) should be allowed to compete against men. They are at a massive disadvantage against natural males.

I don't know if that's legally possible without some complex legalese but that's how it should be imo.

track is the most obvious example, but they regulate testosterone levels and you have the everything with castor semenya

There were a couple born women who were not allowed to participate in the Olympics as a result of high levels

Why? It's not a slur. If the shoe fits...

noun

  1. obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
Thanks for posting the definition. But I have not seen any posts in this thread that fits that criteria. All I see is a bunch of pandering of blind idealism and disparaging remarks against those with dissenting views.

Regulating natural testosterone seems like a tricky issue to me. One could argue that high natural testosterone levels is just good genetics, just like being born with good athletic ability, ...

I have hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (excuse the word salad), which is a hormone condition that suddenly dropped my testosterone levels to around 20% of a regular male of my age at the time.
I was pretty muscular at the time, gradually lost the ability to partake in any strenuous physical activity and lost all the muscle I had built up over several years of lifting.
It's a rare condition, hence why it took some time to not only diagnose it but also treat it.

My testosterone levels are at roughly 50% of what they should be but this is deemed acceptable by doctors so I no longer receive hormone injections.
The difference is massive. I went from having a disability statute to being able to function physically again. I can't really pick up my former physical hobbies at this level but at least I can function normally.

Obviously it's very different from something like trans people's hormonal transitions but my condition really opened my eyes to how insanely drastic the effects of hormonal changes can be.

Sheesh. This thread is MOVING today. Thought they called it already or we had another Jan 6 :{

Any chance trump loses and immediately tells his supporters to take to the streets and that the 2nd amendment is still part of the constitution? It’s crazy that’s kinda not off the table.

I feel for castor semenya, since her sports related issues are from birth.. as far as I am aware

But I get it, there has to be a threshold.. but it’s not exactly shocking to me given the other things that get regulated within that sport and others.. from the things in the body to the contents and build of equipment.. it was inevitable the sport’s governing body would address it and given history, they would come down on the heavy side (same as for lia Thomas in swimming)

Given we are on a shoe forum, look at how they regulate how and the amount of plates that can be used in shoes or the stack heights on marathon shoes

And you also notice that it’s NEVER a biological woman, transitioning into a male, trying to play men’s sports? It’s always a male, turning into a woman, who wants to compete with women. SMH
