QFT. I think that's right... think I know what it means.
But yea... I wasn't going to hate them, in the end as I posted before, I got my D90 when I got it and been able to enjoy it and not sit back andWAIT because newer (and "better") things will always be ready to drop... but I guess I would have been a bit "blown" specially if it hadtoo many of the D90 features for less the price.

I see the pros of having a screen the swivel, I mainly used it in the past to take discrete shots or images of kids (bend down to their level, swivel the screen up so you can see it), when recording, has many purposes... What I dont understand why the hinges on the bottom and not the side! But withNikon design, if the hinges were on the side it would block certain buttons too (those on the left side of the screen) or perhaps hinges on the side is a Canon"thing" dunno
I wouldn't be a hassle, as you can set the screen to sit back in place with screenout facing you, like it typically would... MY ONLY CONCERN.. would bethat if through wear and tear, usage the screen STOP WORKING! On my Canon G5, with swivel screen.. the screen is only active when open but when I turn it tosit "in place" the screen goes black (with the cam on of course). So that would be a big lost if the screen stop working!
I haven't been in this thread for a couple days and it grows over 10pages... other comments I wanted to respond to include...
D90 recording capabilities... as other noted 5 minutes AND not the greatest when panning - creates Jello effect (look it up), but good extra incentive to haveon a dslr that primary job is to shoot stills.
Lighting... strobist like other have mention... good stuff full of information. For Nikon users look up CLS, Joe McNally (think thats his name) and also theCLS DVD. Huhhh... a useful link for Nikon users -
http://www.dtowntv.com/ Canon has their own system similiar toCLS, dont know what its called.
Deciding which cam to buy... think of the primary use for it and don't let the video be the deciding factor as you might not end up using it as often ANDvideo will only get better on newer models
