A little on the big side, but might be the best one

How difficult is it to assemble your own PC? I've been wanting to build one, but I've always struggled with limiting myself. I'm aiming for top-of-the-line or close to it, and I'm worried about making a mistake. My primary use would be for editing pictures and videos. I've been considering components like the i9-14900F, RTX 4080, Z790 Prime motherboard, 64GB DDR5 RAM, a 4TB SSD, and a case with white-themed fans.
Dont get an HP
I've used them all and supported them all on a large scale, they're all fine and will do the job. Just get that warranty if you can especially since it serves a function. Also any issues within the first week that an update can't take care of, go ahead return or rma it. Part of the issue is there will be the occasional bad one out the factory and people hang on to it and struggle till it's too late.Just bought one! I've had a few of their laptops and they've been good. Just got the new version of the same one - ticked all the boxes and it uses the same charger so now I've got a spare which I like.
I have seen the HP gaming PCs. exterior-wise they look awesome but once you open up the unit, man the parts and how they were assembled were crappier than someone in highshool doing basic electronics assembly.I hate HP with a passion. My last 3 gaming PCs were HP. My HP Envy bricked itself during a BIOS update, HP wanted to charge me $200 just to look at it. Ending up salvaging the parts and built my own PC, which I still use to this day, should have swore off HP then, but fast forward to the great GPU pandemic shortage. The only way I could get a 3000 series GPU for retail was through HP, so I actually endee up buying 2 OMEN desktops. The best one runs worse than my custom build which was several years older. My OMEN literally freezes and lags constantly just surfing the web or playing music. Just awful. If I ever buy another prebuild it will be Dell/Alienware. Never had an issue with them in the past, and my old Alienware X51, which I sold to my friend ages ago... is still kickin working all day every day for well over a decade.
what resolution are you considering? What type or rig is needed for ultrawide max settings
what resolution are you considering?
5090 and Zen 5!!2k-4k as often as possible
If you are on a budget ryzen 7800 and RX 7900 GRE should be more than suffice. I'm still holding on my old rig 4-5 years as I haven't ventured yet to 2k or 4k. possibly this December I might upgrade for the next gen when I clear my finances. If I get an awesome deal for a GRE around $300, I might consider it now. So far the used market have tons of crazy scalpers. F them.2k-4k as often as possible
why are buying a PC anyway? is that only for that purpose? So I've been a console gamer forever but kinda tired of Forza and GT. I actually already have a logitech steering wheel and stuff and wanna just play Assetto Corsa with it. Any recommendations on a basic PC for literally that one game? I'm as ignorant to PC gaming as one can be

That's also on consoles, why bother with a pc?
Yeah, all the mods are only on the PC version, not to mention the crazier graphics. Plus, it can double as a family computer for the kids so it’d be nice just to have an actual PC in the crib.
