Official NT dad thread: can the dads get love

If you bought clothes and diapers, get ready to exchange them, especially if your lady plans of breastfeeding.

My son came out 1 day past his due date at close to 9lbs, and he's been in the 98th-99th percentile ever since. We've exchanged all the diapers we bought at least 5 times because he grew out of the size too soon. He's starting to average out a little since he's more active but the boy eats :lol He's only 13mo. and is about 28lbs wearing 3T and a 6-7c. :{

Dawg thats a BIG BOY!! Nothin wrong with that tho my dude, your family athletic?

I mean, I am. My wife played ball for a year in high school. He'll be good in the front, I'll make sure of that :lol I see some kids who's pops don't know how to do anything "manly" e.g. sports, fix some things on cars, home repair, etc. and just feel bad for em. Heck I used to set the VCR clock growin up and we all know how tough that was :lol

I feel you. I was real good at football the one year i played but got sidetracked by the streets. My girl is the same height as me 5 10 and she hooped in middle school.

So i feel as long as im there to push him, hell be aight in whatever sport he wants to play.

My girl dont gotta worry about my lil man bein a weenie tho cuz she tells me all the time shes glad i can fix and make things and do things men are supposed to know. I even got her lil bro lookin up to me cuz the ****** dad cant even change oil.

This is my first child man so i cant wait to pass on the things i learned and shake my head and the dumb **** this dudes gona do growin up haha

Little dude had some ear tubes put in last week as a result from ear infections and fluid for months straight. It's amazing how different he is now. So much more happier, can hear everything clearly, and his balance is much better after a week. Can only imagine what he was going through the past 6 months.

I'm 5'11 and my wife is 5'9. I'm hoping our daughter is tall. I'd love to see her be a princess and crossing folks on the court or spiking the volleyball. lol.

We also decided to do a 3-D ultrasound...When we went back to do the U/S, baby wasn't be cooperative and so we weren't able to re-confirm the sex...But I'm sure we're having a girl...We'll wait and see.

Also, baby has been really moving this week...Can't wait!!

The first time we took him he was 7 months and slept the whole time. He's 14 months now, gonna milk this free admission as many times as I can.

How was it? Planning on taking my son in February. He will be one month shy of his second birthday. I think it will be a lot of fun for him.

If you can try to go on a weekday. At 2 years old he's old enough to ride a lot of rides so you don't want to be standing in line for 2 hours with a 2 year old. I just went right before the 4th of July and lines were 10 mins tops. I don't know where you are from but I'm not from so cal so I have to stay in a hotel. I recommend staying across the street from the park so you can go back to your room easily and take a nap. My son is active enough where he wants to do everything on his own including walking and he tires himself out so having a room across the street made it easier to go back without having to take the shuttle.

Definitely going during the weekday. Thinking of a 2 or 3 day park hopper and staying at the Disneyland Hotel. There will be a group of us going so will probably get a 2 or 3 bedroom suite. Looking forward to him getting on rides. We had planned on going this past February, but decided not to with the whole measles thing. Ended up going to San Diego in may instead.

The 3-D ultra sound was creepy for us...we didn't ask for one and they just did it.

You're still out in the Bay yes? If so, who are you guys w/ in terms of where you're having the baby?

We just copped a Douala (SP?)

We're with Sutter and plan on delivering the baby at Sutter Northbay in Fairfield.

Wish we had Kaiser though...We're both familiar with Kaiser. This PPO crap is frustrating at times lol.

Yeah, we're with Kaiser. It's been an experience to say the least, but that mainly pertains to my wife previously having them
