I'll preface my story with the fact we had a basic anatomy talk with our son complete with age appropriate books from the library so we had a pre birds & bees talk when my son was 5...

Fast forward to last year in 4th grade... My wife is dropping our son off at the YMCA before school care (in the school cafeteria). He tells her his friend was was talking to an older kid in the neighborhood who had watched a pron flick. Our son was telling his mother how the kid said the girl had her mouth all over his thing & then at the end shot all this white stuff on her face... His question was what was the white stuff.... My wife was like :x :|....

She said she'd talk to him later that night about it since it wasn't appropriate to talk about in school. I was already at work & I get a call on my cell & my wife sounds frantic & upset... I'm thinking she just got into bad accident & when she tells me what just happened I'm like :x :| at first but was then like :rollin. I could just picture his sweet little innocent face asking this question & of all times to ask...

Needless to say we covered a lot of ground that evening... I can say though I'm glad we had a talk with him because he really feels comfortable asking us or talking about anything with us. He's also been very honest about everything even if it might get him in trouble. I just hope this continues as he gets older.

Edit - wayniac211 wayniac211 , just be honest with your kid. We gave him the ins & outs but afterwards we stressed how it's important not to just sleep around. We talked about how prevalent diseases are & if you do have sex to make sure you're protected.

We actually used the internet to see what living with the diseases was like. Use this opportunity to build a good line of communication with your kid so that he or she feels comfortable coming to you & also telling the truth whenever...

Good luck...

Congrats pleighboi.. My lady had 4 of my 5 c-section. Team big heads and broad shoulders :smokin

:lol damn 5 kids. She wants no part of labor again lol. Our hospital doesn't allow for you to go naturally if you've already had c section though. Recovery is tough but she's doing alright.

This child is awesome though. She sleeping like a champ. Spending as much time with her as possible.
