I think we can all agree that having a baby (especially your first) changes everything, so if it means making an excuse to take one last big trip together then that’s great, no matter what you call it. Same with giving your wife a present to celebrate the birth of a child. IIRC, I didn’t do either one but won’t knock another man for doing what he feels is appropriate to mark such a momentous occasion.

we never called it a babymoon when we did it in 2012. we said one last trip before the baby comes and we’re stuck at home

man i remember we were gonna do the samething, trip to Cancun was booked was gonna go out big before our youngest came, OBGYN shut that down quick and said you aint going anywhere in Mexico, this was when the zika virus made its entrance in the news 
we ended up going to Hawaii after my daughter was born, at least she was free to fly

Yeah that's what I was about to say... depending on how far along I know they can't fly... but I def wouldn't risk having my kid in another country... though it would be funny telling them they are Mexican when they are clearly not. Lol

funny thing was she was only in her second trimester she was about 5-6 months, I think its still fine to fly up until 7/8 months I believe?

Depends on the level. I grew up on the west side of Chicago part of ny childhood and I was only allowed to play a couple blocks away from the house but never past St. Louis.
On the other hand, my sisters friend had a daughter who she used to lock in the house and set the alarm on because she was fast. It did nothing to slow down her hoeness, she would just crawl out the window. Lol
Typically the more you shelter someone, or try not to expose them to something... curiosity usually wins.

It's a matter of perspective. In the kid's mind they may assume they were kept from experiencing certain things, but if you asked the parents they would likely think they were just protecting their child. The kid may appreciate their parents for providing a safe environment where they didn't have to face difficult circumstances, but also feel like they missed out on important childhood experiences. It's only a bad thing if the kid resents their parents for it. Could honestly go either way.

Companies will likely try to promote the idea of pregnancy last hoorah trips as a common practice, creating a sense of urgency for those who haven't adopted it yet. Given that women are the ones who carry pregnancies, marketers will likely create ads specifically targeting them, making it easier to reach their audience. Soon it will become wide spread and the norm for everyone.

I feel like most of this is a stretch. People vacation in all manner of ways and the “deals” would have to be available year round. I think you’re worried about a non-issue.
