How do you know the entire shoe isn't one.
This dude calling Jordan dumb is probably the same dude that buys Air Jordans, thus paying the man he is calling dumb. His company takes your money and somehow he is the dumb one? SMH
so let me get this str8.....Jordan is a dumbas for accepting Nike's offer to have his own brand?!? i say he's a smart business man by staying under the Nike umbrella having still Nike make his shoes using their technology and innovations. i believe it was in the Jordan ************* issue for the XXs, it was actually Nike's idea to slowly remove Nike branding from Jordans to actually sell the idea to the customer that MJ was his own entity. Jordan's were really never splattered with Swooshes all over them anyway. Soon we saw the transition from the VI where we saw "Nike Air" only on the back of the shoe to the VII where there was no sign of Nike anywhere on the shoe. Even the boxes changed from saying "NIke Air Jordan --" to just saying "Air Jordan --". this wasn't MJ's idea this was Nike's ideaman the kobe is already at the viii. why not lose the big swoosh already? hes popular in asia.
same goes for lebron. lose the big swooshes on the side
old school nike sigs always lost the swooshes eventually. does nike not think anyone can stand on their own when it comes to sig lines these days?
or are they doing this because they fear if a line is big enough to stand on its own the player will try to go the jordan route and remove swooshes and nike altogether in the future? jordan is an ******* for doing that by the way. that ***** dumb as a rock cause nike still appears on the shoe boxes and the air is still nike technology..
sorry youngster im not a sheep like you. havent bought jordan retros in almost a decade. never spent a dime on brand jordan garbage.. i leave that **** for the brainless youth of today who should be buying the athletes of todays signature shoes instead of a man they never saw play live in their lives.
dont assume ****. it makes you look stupid...
Then someone isn't telling the truth...i'm not kobe, and i don't have a personal trainer. is it magic that i've NEVER rolled my ankle in kobe's (when properly laced up)?
i've rolled my ankle when i would be stupid and play without lacing up, but other than that.. no, not once since 2008.
so you're theory is bs. you know it, i know it.
i feel more comfortable landing on someone's foot in kobe's than in lebrons (and it's happened). lebrons i gotta worry about the airmax which is slightly higher off the ground..
it's physics.. it doesn't lie.
It's more than that. To suggest that you should only want to wear the shoe of the player that represents your generation, is downright moronic. This is what we were discussing in the Ask a former Nike employee thread. There are many here who actually work for Nike, those that are ticked off at the fact that Jordan has them by the balls. He can leave Nike anytime that he wishes, and they don't like it. He leaves Nike, and the value of Nike stock collapses, probably leaving them in the red. They have nothing to offer retailers that is comparable. So if Jordan ever leaves Nike, they'll be behind both Adidas and Reebok, then possibly Under Armour. So cause people weren't around to see the GOAT play means they shouldn't try to cop shoes they never had a chance to cop before? And to say what people "should" do makes you sound like an arrogant *******.
Just sayin...
You cannot have it both ways.him wearing that shoe probably saved his career. the kobe 6 are extremely low to the ground.. if he was wearing anything with airmax or higher off the ground really, he would have broke it probably.
he was playing right after he rolled it by the way..
i still don't see how a piece of leather is going to prevent someone from rolling their ankle. whoever made that **** up and the sheep that followed are idiots.. seriously. if a body part wants to turn a certain way, a piece of material won't get in the way.
There is scientific proof that mid to high cut shoes offer some protection to both the foot and ankle, but obviously that depends on the wearer as well.
kobe posted a pic on his facebook on october 13th last year , dont remenber anything before that
